She screamed and tilted her head back as she clenched around him, squeezing him so tight, he came right away. Her tight spasms milked out every last bit from him, and he sagged back against the couch.
Dane carefully extracted himself, and pulled off his condom, throwing it in the small trash can next to the couch. Macy curled up against him, her naked bottom still red and warm, as he held her and smiled. “You should come clean my house tomorrow.”
She giggled. “Okay. But I don’t do windows.”

Chapter Six

Dane had always enjoyed dress rehearsals. This was the chance to see everything with the bright lights shining, music taking over the room, steps echoing across the hard dance floor. But, tonight, he was really looking forward to it. Besides seeing the competition for real and up close, he was about to show off the most beautiful partner he had ever worked with. She would be gorgeous and would set the stage for the tone of the finals night, which was only a few weeks away. He was a competitive man by nature, and he wanted everyone to know he and Macy were the couple to beat.
He passed Ron and watched his stilted motions as he warmed up with Sveta. Ron’s, expression impassive as always, had a sheen of sweat on his forehead, and Dane heard the small grunt of pain, the man tried to hide as he lifted his partner again.
“Ron, mind if I step in for a minute?”
The man with the crew cut nodded and released his partner. Dane twirled Sveta, and pulled her against his chest, mimicking the moves they had just done. Her thin, muscular frame melted against his as they prepared for the first lift. This brought back so many memories. They had been good together once.
The other dancers stopped their warm-ups to watch the graceful couple in motion. Her tiny waist fit easily in the palm of his hands; her breasts brushed up against his chest when he pulled her back to him. The sway of her skirt showed off her pert backside under cream-colored pantaloons. Everyone else seemed to like what they saw. And Sveta was exaggerating her movements, a flush tinging her cheeks. He knew what that flush meant. She was still attracted to him.
But she wasn’t Macy. Macy was so much more than this. She had soft, supple curves and always wore an honest expression no matter what she was doing. She didn’t hide behind masks or facades. She was real. Macy was his dream partner—and the woman of his dreams.
He needed to help Ronald out with his move and then go back where he belonged. With his real partner. To her wide, beautiful hips he could dig his fingers into without worrying about hurting her. And the beautiful determination she wore on her face every time she stepped on the dance floor.
“Here’s where you are having problems.” He addressed the other man while looking Sveta square in the eye. “Your partner is being very naughty and isn’t helping you through this lift.”
He shoved Sveta forcefully and held her hand firmly in his, yanking her back into his chest.
“He won’t let me help with the lift,” she seethed through clenched teeth. “He’s a hotheaded, arrogant male. Just like someone else I used to dance with.”
“Do it yourself, little girl,” Dane gritted and prepared his stance for the lift. He lifted his left leg an inch off the floor, mimicking Ron’s injured leg, and nodded at him.
Sveta bent her legs and hurled herself upward into Dane’s hands. He held her but let her do most of the lifting. Beads of sweat poured down her forehead and she let out a high-pitched squeak as she shifted her body left to compensate for the off-center balance.
“She’s stronger than she looks,” Dane said, helping her back down to her feet, then finally put both his feet back on the floor. “Her job is to offset your weakness. Your job is to let her serve you.” He leaned closer so it was just he and the other man speaking quietly, as the rest of the room started dancing again. “We both know you are a
