to enter a church for a funeral, really Marisol?”
“Chicken shit!” she shrieked as she laughed at his superstitious fears.  She always scared the heck out of him when she spoke of her premonitions and the stories her mother shared with her of her great-grandmother who also had the gift.  Of course her great-grandmother’s gift was much powerful for all the local villagers flocked to her for insight.  “Let’s get this over with sir.”
After offering her condolences to the parents and family members, Marisol felt like someone else possessed her body.  She went through all the motions, provided support to her students, listened to how they felt and consoled them. She felt grateful and courageous to be here today.  She wanted to seek Nate before the service started since she also began to feel light headed.
Marco observed her spring into action with her students it was the first time he’d seen her defenses down.  Her easy demeanor and broaden smile spoke out loudly of the affection she carried for her students.  Reminded him of the old free spirited girl he once knew.  If only she can look at him in the same easy carefree way.  As if she read his thoughts she turned to face him from across the hall.
It was like a magnetic force as her eyes averted to the familiar turquoise eyes she longed for so long ago and they both just stood still even though they were on opposite sides of the entry hall everyone else was a blur.  She couldn’t seem to break the force.  Torn between wanting to run towards him and at the same time wanting to run far away from him but the spell was quickly broken by Alex who tapped her arm.  Once she focused in on Alex she could see evidence of the tears he shed.  “Hey Alex, I wondered if you were able to make it.  How are you holding up sweetie?”
“Hey Miss Braxton, nothing could stop me from coming today.  I’m okay I guess.  I already miss her.  The hard part is, knowing she will never call my phone or send me a text ever again.”  He replied so sadly with his eyes fixated to the ground.
“I know and I can only imagine how you are feeling.  It takes time for the pain to heal and knowing Savannah we both know she would want you to be strong for her.”  She sincerely wanted to hug him but he seemed stand offish and she didn’t want to push him.  Time had no limitations when it comes to mourning and healing.  She noticed his body stiffen as two boys passed by and gave him a look of warning.  “Alex, what is it?  Who are those two boys?”  Before he could reply Marco and Nate approached them leading them inside since the Pastor was about to begin.  She knew she had to continue this discussion at some point with Alex she had a bad feeling in her gut and had to pursue it.  So caught up in her thoughts she didn’t realize until it was too late that she was seated within the pew between Marco and Alex.  Nate was seated next to Alex and Mr. Johnson.  Marco’s nearness alerted her senses and the white casket was directly in her line of sight and then the fragrance of the flowers surrounding the whole front filled the church.  After a few words from the Pastor, the church choir began to sing Amazing Grace.  It was at this point when it all came crashing down upon her, her body turned cold; her head began to spin and a wave of nausea took over and then the tremors joined in.  Mumbling to herself “Not now, not here please God.”  Marco turned to her and gently grabbed her arm and asked “Are you okay?” then her body swayed and that was the last she remembered as she passed out into Marco’s arms.

Chapter Four
“Marisol can you hear me?”  The soothing voice and the feel of a hand gliding through her hair on the side of her head felt so dreamy that a moan escaped her lips and she slowly opened her eyes trying to figure out where she was as those turquoise eyes met her yet again.  Why was she being tormented?
    “Welcome back.”
