began to pace the room to burn off some energy. They still hadn’t let her out to roam the ship and being cooped up as she was had begun to wear on her nerves.
With a sigh, she came to a stop before a large painting. She’d spent several hours studying it. Every time she looked at the intricate picture, she found something she’d missed before. A castle sat atop a hillside, its gray walls towering high toward the clouds floating above it. At the base of the hillside was a lake, its waves lapping at the grassy shore. Gardens filled with flowers circled it, and gazebos and hidden pathways led through a maze of trees.
Horse-drawn carriages made their way across the drawbridge and into the massive inner courtyard of the castle.
The whole scene was like something out of medieval Earth -- a time period she had always been fascinated with. Argonia was very similar to Earth during that time, with the exception of their advanced technology. They’d chosen to keep things simple -- live off the land and keep their world free of the complications advanced technology often brought. It 36

had been a wise choice for them, but also one that gave them the reputation of being barbaric.
Rhia rolled her eyes. Yep, they were definitely barbaric.
“That’s Millshire, our country estate. It’s where we usually reside. I hate the city.” With a start, Rhia turned to stare at the man who’d spoken. Keenas leaned against the door frame, his arms crossed over his chest in a relaxed stance, his hair hanging loose around his shoulders. The black leather pants hugged his hips enticingly, outlining the massive bulge between his thighs. Her flesh heated as she remembered the feel of that engorged length rubbing along her pussy. She frowned and turned back to the picture.
“What do you want?” she snapped.
    “Besides you?”
She didn’t miss the slight hint of amusement in his tone, but chose to ignore it. “I refuse to be baited, Keenas. Just tell me what you want, then get lost.” Keenas snorted. “You certainly give orders like a queen, Rhianna. But Jorel and I are two people who don’t have to follow your demands.” She scowled at him over her shoulder. “Then consider it a request.” His lips thinned into a tight line as he stepped into the room, allowing the door to slide closed behind him. Her whole body tensed as he moved toward her like an animal stalking its nervous prey. Of the two of them, Keenas was the more sexually overpowering.
Jorel was tender, sweet. Keenas was the complete opposite -- dominant, sexual, dangerous. Looking at him brought on images of hot and sweaty sex -- sex that left you breathless and bruised. Unlike when she looked at Jorel and thought of slow, steamy sex and long nights of sensual exploration. They were such opposites. What would sex with the both of them at once be like?
Shaking her head, she tried to ignore those images and think of something else. Her attention turned back to Keenas as he studied her untouched plate of food from earlier. His unhappy stare met hers and she felt the heat clear across the room.
“You should eat more, Rhianna. You’re too skinny for my taste.” Her mouth dropped open in shock. She was slim, but she certainly wouldn’t consider herself too skinny. In her opinion, there were places on her body that could stand to lose a little fat.
    “Kiss my ass!” she snapped.
His full lips twitched and surprise knotted her stomach at the flare of devilment that lit up his gaze. It changed his whole look, diminishing the harsh lines around his eyes and mouth.
“Is that another request, my queen?” he teased. “Because I would certainly be happy to oblige.”

Stiffening her spine, she met his mischievous gaze with an angry one. “You’ll stay away from my ass, Keenas, as well as every other part of my body.” Keenas crossed his arms and leaned his slender hips against the small table. His sultry stare blazed a path down her curves, heating her flesh from
