along with whatever you planned to do? No questions? No thoughts of my own? I'm an independent woman who has been looking after herself for a long time now." She huffed out a breath. "I don't even know how you both feel about me! Do you love me? I refuse to be bonded with either of you if you don't love me."
She folded her arms in front of her naked chest and glared daggers at Dimitri, then at Max. Max turned to Dimitri. Obviously they were having another silent conversation. Those conversations were really starting to piss her off. She stomped her foot and stormed out of the bathroom—only to stop dead in her tracks before the bed. The bed itself was massive and hand-carved from mahogany timber. It would easily fit three adults. A red and gold silk bedspread and lots of pillows covered the mattress. As amazing as the bed was, what caught her attention was the dress lying on top of it. It was stunning.
Medieval in design, the dress was made mostly from red silk with gold trimmings and laces. The bodice had a low square neckline and tight sleeves to the elbow that flowed into long pieces of material that hung nearly to the floor. The skirt was slightly flared and looked like it would just touch the ground around her feet. The gold laces up the center of the front would ensure her cleavage stood out as the main attraction. Lying next to it was a floor length hooded cape. It , too, was red. The colors of their dragons obviously carried through to every part of their lives. Good thing she liked red and gold.
She felt the heat of her men as they approached her . They crowded her in, one on either side, but unlike when her kidnappers did it, she didn't feel threatened. No, she felt safe, treasured, protected. They each took one of her hands and raised it to their lips, kissing her knuckles softly. Her eyes remained glued to the beautiful dress.
"Eilagh, sweetness? Can you look at me?" Dimitri's soft request was so out of character she turned to him instantly.
"You are our Desired. Our hearts and souls have been crying out for you. When we found you we were so happy, but then you were taken from us. It made us—it made me realize how important you are to me. I cannot live without you, Eilagh. I love you with all my heart and soul, and if I ever lost you my heart and soul would die." He turned her hand over and kissed her palm. "Please, Eilagh, bond with us."
She had to smile, as even with the please he was still demanding. There was no question, just a statement. A finger under her chin caught her attention, and Max tilted her head his way.
"Eilagh, I , too, love you with all my heart and soul and vow that I will forever more. Please, baby, will you bond with us?"
Max was almost as domineering as his twin but not quite. As Max kissed her palm, just like Dimitri had, her gaze went back to the bed and the dress. The men slowly nudged her closer to it. They lowered her hands , and she sighed as her hands came into contact with the cool silk. She took a deep breath to fortify her courage. Then jumped off the cliff...
"I've never felt like this about anyone before. It's all so overwhelming. But I know that when I was in that dungeon, all I could think about was getting back to you both, back in your arms. Thank you for asking and not demanding that I bond with you." She cleared her throat and briefly closed her eyes before turning so she faced both men. "I love you both , and yes, I will bond with you … but, there is one condition."
Dimitri cocked an eyebrow. "And that would be?"
"If we're going to bond together, forever, I need you to trust me. The Truth Band has to come off."
Dimitri and Max both looked at her armband . It was still glowing green from her saying yes to bond with them.
"Consider it gone. We do trust you, and neither of us has ever seen your band glow red. Max?"
She watched as Dimitri wrapped his hand around one side of the band, and Max wrapped his around the other, so their thumbs touched the other's
