    A few weeks later, Brad opened the
security app Marcus and Rob had created for Reed & Company. He’d confirmed
Ivy had left the office hours ago. The cameras Marcus and Rob installed
yesterday were perfectly placed. His sweet Candy was still sitting at her desk

    Brad
skipped up their front steps and opened the door. “What are you doing in the
office this late?”
    “I’m
a little backed up after yesterday.” Candy stood and leaned forward. “I think

    “I
know. I loved every minute of our unexpected day off yesterday.” Her fingers

    “They

stood and twirled. “Your mom was so easy to talk to and your dad is a charmer.”
She clasped her hands to her chest. “I had myself convinced this morning I’d
remembered it all wrong.”
    “And
my telling you this morning and again this afternoon didn’t convince you?”
    “For
a bit, yes. Your dirty texts helped keep me from my paranoia, but then I got
buried in work and I’d start to worry all over again. Before I forget, my mom
got back to me. She is free tomorrow night.”
    “Perfect.”
He entered the dinner in his calendar and slid his phone into his pocket.
    “I’m
sure you felt the pressure today in the office as well.” She sat back down and
focused on her computer screen. “I’m so behind.”
    “I
am too but I granted myself a reward each time I crossed something off my
list.” He took his phone back out and picked his favorite camera angle, the one
camera that only he had access to.
    “I
know what you mean.” She spread her legs a little wider. “That last dirty
message reminded me of what you did yesterday afternoon in the car on the way

    “That
