before he had a chance to
take it away.
Instead she remained docilely on the floor, trying to ignore
how hard the stone felt beneath her knees. She watched with singular focus as
he picked up a cube of yellow cheese and brought it slowly to her mouth. “Stick
out your tongue,” Ellis ordered and Mia eagerly complied. He dropped the morsel
onto her tongue. The cheese was rich and creamy, melting in her mouth.
More, she begged silently, beseeching Ellis with her
eyes. More please.
She’d come to with sputtering shock as icy cold water had
been splashed into her face. She found herself still lying on the bondage
table, though the restraints had been removed.
“That’s better,” Ellis had said, staring down at her. “You
need to stop with that fainting nonsense. It’s getting tedious.” He’d tugged at
the choke collar. “Get up. It’s time for dinner.”
The mention of dinner gave Mia the impetus to get herself
off the table. Ellis had led her down the stairs and through the house to the
kitchen, where he instructed her to kneel quietly by the table while he
prepared the food.
What agony it had been to wait in silence while Ellis took
out a pan of prepared lasagna from his refrigerator and slid it into the
microwave. The cooking food filled the air with the aroma of garlic, melting
cheese and tomato sauce. Mia felt weak with hunger, saliva pooling in her
mouth.
Without even glancing at her, the bastard had helped himself
to the lasagna and a glass of red wine. She’d nearly cried in frustration when
it became clear he didn’t intend to offer her any food, at least not before he
had his fill. As she had waited for Ellis to finish his meal, she had thought
about Bella, her family dog, who used to wait just like this, drooling, eyes
fixed intently on the family dinner table, ready to pounce if someone dropped a
morsel.
Though she’d hoped for lasagna, Mia was so hungry she would
have eaten anything at that point, and found herself truly grateful for the
sustenance. All too soon the plate was empty. “May I have some more, please?”
    “No.”
    Bastard.
He stood, taking the plate with him and placing it in the
sink. Reaching again into his fancy stainless steel refrigerator, Ellis took
out a bottle of sparkling water, twisting off the cap as he sat down beside the
still kneeling Mia.
    “Thirsty?” he asked.
    “Yes, Sir.”
Mia stared at the bottle, her lips parting as Ellis brought
it to her lips. He tipped it carefully, letting some of the lightly carbonated
water spill onto her tongue. Mia swallowed and quickly opened her mouth to
indicate she wanted more. He tipped the bottle again, this time pouring a
little too much into her mouth. Mia coughed and sputtered as she struggled to
swallow, eager to get every drop.
He continued to tip the bottle, letting the bubbly water
spill into her mouth and down her chin, where it splashed over her breasts. Mia
focused on getting as much of the water into her mouth as she could without
choking, not daring to ask him to slow down.
When the bottle was empty, Ellis led Mia from the kitchen,
tugging her along by the leash up the stairs. Mia, exhausted and aching, prayed
he would stop at her bedroom, but no such luck. He continued to the last door
at the end of the hall.
“Time for your first whipping,” Ellis informed her as he
tugged her into the room.
“Please, no,” Mia gasped, shrinking back.
    “Wrong answer.”
Ellis jerked the leash, the sudden, sharp movement pulling
Mia to her knees while the chain tightened painfully around her throat. He
crouched in front of her, leaning in close so she could feel his hot breath on
her face. “You will erase the word no from your vocabulary. You will refuse
me nothing. Ever . You belong to me now, Mia. My word is law.” He tugged
harder, pulling her down until her face was against the carpet.
Standing, Ellis put his foot on the leash. The tight choke
collar caused Mia to cough and sputter. “Do I make myself
