Game for Tonight
uncomfortable.
He needed to make this right.
Quietly, he crawled onto the bed next to her, sprawled out like she was, and lay on his stomach so they were shoulder to shoulder. He pressed a lingering kiss to her cheek and smiled at her. “You really have to ask?”
She shrugged, her cheeks turning the faintest pink. Shifting to her right, she set her phone on the floor—damn, he really needed to buy a freaking bedside table—before she resumed her position. “I just wanted to make sure because…you know why.”
Mmm-hmm. He did know why. He was glad to get rid of the virgin status, but did she feel some sort of odd responsibility for taking it from him? Not that he hadn’t given it away gladly. It had become his cross to bear. An annoying, inhibiting thing that had become harder and harder to get rid of.
Not with Aubrey, though. He liked her. So their relationship had morphed from working mode to sex mode. Not that they could realistically continue this. They should probably keep what had happened between them a secret, considering the no-dating-employees clause the Hawks organization had.
He leaned over and kissed her bare shoulder once. Her skin was smooth and warm beneath his lips and, unable to resist, he kissed her again. Then again and again, until she turned her head to look at him, her dark gaze turbulent, her lips parted. “It was amazing,” he murmured. “Is that what you wanted to hear?”
The flush on her cheeks turned darker, and her lids lowered, shielding her gaze from his. “Now you’re just trying to embarrass me.”
“No, I’m being truthful.” He grabbed hold of her so quick, she squealed and tried to get away, but his reflexes were too fast and her struggle was weak anyway. Rolling over onto his back, he wrapped his arms around her waist and held her to him. Her legs fell apart, so she straddled him, and all that sweet heat cozied up next to his cock. Yep, there he went, hard as can be, as though he hadn’t just come his brains out only minutes ago. “Maybe we should do it again,” he suggested hopefully.
Her laughter was such a pretty sound, light and sweet, he wanted to hear it again. He slid his hand down the length of her back, his fingers pausing at the side of her waist, and he lightly tickled her there. Testing her. She squirmed and angled away from his hand, trying to dodge his touch.
“Ticklish?” he asked innocently, stilling his hand.
“Totally.” She clamped her lips together as if she was trying to restrain her laughter from escaping. Now, that was a damn shame. He tickled her harder, and she tried to jerk away from his fingers, but he held firm, his other arm clamped tight around her waist. “Stop, Flynn,” she said weakly.
“Stop? That is the last word you should say to me.” He flipped her over so she was the one lying on her back, and he tickled her in earnest. She tried to pull away, tried to bend over and block him, but he wasn’t having it. “You saying stop only makes me want to tickle you harder.”
Finally she gave in and burst out laughing, swatting at his hands, gasping when he touched a particularly sensitive spot. He kept it up until she was begging him to stop, her voice hoarse from too much laughter and squealing, tears coming from her eyes. Without thought, he kissed them away, then took her mouth in a gentle kiss that turned heated in seconds.
His fingers went from tickling to caressing, skimming her soft stomach, her full breasts, drifting his knuckles across her hard nipples. His cock was more than ready to sink back inside her, and he figured he’d need to grab the entire box of condoms and just leave them by the bed at the rate they were going.
“Flynn.” She whispered his name against his lips, and he paused, lifting up so he could stare down at her. “Are we really going to be…okay? When we go back to work?”
He watched her, his brain scrambling and trying to come up with something to say. But what? How could he predict if
