hanging in the air, Kaela
appeared taken aback as she fidgeted, her eyes darting away as if collecting her
thoughts. When she turned to face him, she seemed a different woman somehow.
“Yes.”
They were doing a dance of wills
without needing to say any further words. They’d sparred enough. They both
wanted the same thing. Now Broden was going to take her. Giving her a
commanding nod, he held out his hand. “Come with me.” He remained unwavering,
the look on his face purposely carnal.
Kaela darted her eyes up and down
the length of his face. “Are you certain you can handle me?” Her tone playful,
she was going to push all his buttons.
So be it. The night was going to be
intense and perhaps emotional. Why not allow her to think she was in charge? “Try
me.” The challenge issued, he kept his hand out, refusing to blink. “I’ll allow
you to be in charge.
    “Hmmm… Tempting.”
“Then taste me. Lick me. Ride me.”
Broden’s voice was barely audible.
“What about your guests? Won’t they
miss you? Won’t they hunger for you?” Her last words trailing off, Kaela rubbed
the tips of her fingers down the length of her neck.
Broden had to admit she was very
good at being a seductress. But he was better. “They are big boys and girls.
They can fend for themselves. What about you? Show me what you crave, what
you’ve been longing for.”
Tilting her head, she took a sip of
her wine and eased the glass on top of the bar. Pressing her hands down from
her chest to her stomach, she exhaled slowly and held out her hand. “Only if you’re a good boy.”
    “I’m very, very good.”
“Then you’re going to have to prove
it,” Kaela cooed.
    I
plan on doing more. Taking you to limits you’ve never experienced before. How would she react to his needs,
his dark proclivities? Grasping her fingers he pulled her close, his eyes never
leaving hers. The dance was within their grasp, a moment of intimacy shutting
out everyone else around them. Their lips touching, Broden slipped his hand
behind her head, holding her in place as he slipped his tongue inside her
mouth.
Shivering, she moaned into the kiss,
her eyelashes batting against his cheek.
    Broden held them close together,
their bodies shifting back and forth, until he didn’t care if he fucked her
right here, in front of his well-coiffed guests. Grunting, he cupped her ass,
dragging her into the heat of his body, crushing her lips against his. When he
finally broke the kiss, licking around her mouth before nipping her lower lip,
he scooped her into his arms.
“Broden.” She pushed back hard, her face full
of apprehension.
    “Isn’t this what you wanted?”
    “Yes but…”
“But you need to be in charge? I
don’t think so,” he growled and could see her mind churning. Would she accept
his terms?
Wrapping her arm around his neck,
she cooed. “Just what do you think I’m going to do with you?”
Her hoarse whisper gave him a smile.
As Broden strutted toward the stairs, he lowered his head, pressing his lips
against her forehead. “The question is what am I going to do with you? And the
answer is, everything.” Enough had been said. He
bounded up the stairs, cradling her against his chest, a moment of rare clarity
jetting into the back of his mind.
Kaela clung to him, her breath
skipping across his skin.
As he entered his bedroom, kicking
the door shut, Broden lowered his head. This time the kiss was sweet, full of
passion. He wanted her to take change. He needed Kaela to feel comfortable and
trust him. Easing her onto her feet, he held the kiss, cupping the side of her
face. Broden brushed his thumb across her mouth. “I want you.”
“I want you.” Her words said with
confidence, she swirled her tongue around his thumb.
Chuckling, he shook his head. “Quite the little tease.”
    “Always.”
Broden took a step away from her. Ripping
off his mask, he held the silk piece high over his head, dangling the mask in a
taunting manner. He
