to enjoy more often. She did not even bother to
turn on the larger light in the kitchen, just the small light over
the sink.
She poured some water into a cup and heated it in the microwave.
While the tea bag steeped, she searched for some sugar. She found it
in the cabinet over the sink, and as an added treat, there was honey
as well.
"Up for a late night treat?"
The sound of his voice made her jump.
"I was not expecting you to be awake." When his eyes
started traveling the length of her body, Diana suddenly remembered
she was not completely dressed.
Clay did not seem to be making a complaint. A sly grin, she could see
he was appreciative of the view. It was much too late to cover
herself up anyway.
"Would you like to join me for a cup of tea?" she offered.
    "Sure."
He waited patiently as she prepared tea for him as well.
"Join me in the living room?" Clay asked.
    "Why not."
They took their mugs of hot tea to the couch and got comfortable.
There were no other distractions as they sipped their tea in each
other's company. Diana folded her legs underneath her.
"So how have you been enjoying the weekend?"
"I have been having a great time. Thank you, really."
    "Good."
Diana did not miss the fact that his eyes were continuously glossing
over her. She just did not want to mistake the look in his eyes for
desire if that was not what it was.
"Clay, all of this is such a great gesture. I have to say this
is the first time I have been able to relax in a long time."
He set his mug down on the table in front of them, then placed his
hand on her exposed thigh. A tingle emanated from the space where his
hand warmed her skin. She did not know whether to move her leg or
not. She did not want to and obviously Clay was not going to move his
hand.
In fact, his hand inched a little further up her thigh. He paused for
a moment as if asking her permission to continue. Their eyes met and
she did not tell him to stop. Clay moved closer to her, so close that
she could feel his breath on her neck. Closing her eyes, she let the
sensation of his close proximity take over her.
She was comfortable with him right there next to her, so close. So
near that she could inhale the fresh, light scent of soap on his
skin. His touch was light, gentle, and soothing. It left her wanting
more.
A sigh escaped her mouth, just as his lips met hers. The kiss was
soft, pleasant. It was enough to ignite the fire within, leaving
Diana wanting more than soft and pleasant. She wanted something earth
shattering, something that was a cataclysmic pairing that would leave
her aching and exhausted.
She leaned in, letting Clay know he could have more. His hands on her
shoulders, he pulled her in even closer to him, gazing in her eyes.
Looking into his, having his hands holding her securely, she suddenly
felt breathless. His lips touched hers again, this time, the kiss
more intense. He pressed his body against hers, chest to chest they
both felt the fire ignite. There was nowhere for her to run, no way
for her to get free from his hold.
Something started to feel so right about what was happening. She did
not want to stop. Diana wanted more, a feeling she was not sure she
felt before Clay's lips touched hers.
Seductively, Clay tugged at her bottom lip, allowing Diana to have a
breath. She opened her eyes, licking her lips to savor his flavor
when he released her. She was not ready for the release, but did not
know how to ask him for more. The entire exchange blew her mind. It
was all so unexpected. She had no idea Clay even saw her in that way.
But he did not say a word. Instead, staying silent and letting the
moment speak for itself. Clay took both of their empty mugs back to
the kitchen area and went off to bed.
Diana closed her eyes, still savoring his flavor on her lips. She was
not sure what happened there between the two of them. The fact that
he unleashed so much desire and then, just as quickly shut it down,
confused her. She was not sure what she was
