    “Trust me to take care of you.” H is hand wrapped around her throat and he caressed the side of her neck with his calloused thumbs. “You’re the heartbeat of the family. You keep the home together and my children safe. That’s a big deal. You think I let just anyone around Rocket and Harley?”
