the brandy, the innate flavor of man, and power. It made her lightheaded, weak, turned every muscle in her body to jelly, and she melted in his embrace. A quiet moan left her throat, encouraging him and pleading with him for more.
He gave it to her, sliding the hand on her hip up her back to bury it in her hair. He turned that hand over, fisted it, and yanked her head back as he ravaged her mouth.
Her trapped hand found a little more space to move and she continued her work on the buttons of his shirt, releasing them more rapidly than she had the first two until she reached the barrier of his jeans. She let go of his hair, pushed her other hand between their bodies, and gathered his shirt in both fists, pulling it from the denim. Three more buttons and she found the liberty to push the plackets aside.
She flattened her hands on his chest, another, more surprised moan escaping her throat as sensations zinged up her arms at the skin-to-skin contact. Enjoying it, finding the ability to ride the wave of power rather than fear it, she dragged her hands up, pushing his shirt off his shoulders and pulling it down until it caught on his wrists.
He briefly released his hold on her and she heard the faint sound of buttons hitting the hardwood floor. No doubt those had been the ones securing the cuffs around his wrists. His hands didn’t immediately return to her body, but splayed on the window on either side of her head as he wrenched his mouth from hers as vigorously as he’d captured it.
Chrystal let her eyes flutter open and, for a half a heartbeat, suddenly felt as if she weren’t caged between his body and the window. She’d never before had an out-of-body experience, but she swore that split second of her life had to be one. Though a part of her still felt Andrew, she got the sense of standing mere feet away, watching as he pinned a very beautiful, oddly primitive auburn-haired woman to the window. The woman was gazing at Andrew with sheer love in her eyes.
“Don’t tell me you’re already having second thoughts.”
Chrystal blinked and she was back to feeling everything against her body, the coolness of the glass at her back, the solid wall of Andrew’s body against her front, and his forearms lightly grazing the sides of her head as he continued to cage her against the window.
She swallowed, shook her head, and expelled a breathless half laugh. “Not a chance. I—I don’t know what just happened, but I assure you a second thought was not what crossed my mind.”
A faint smile tilted his lips, but a flash of something else moved through his handsome face. He knew, or at least she suspected he did. Whatever these visions were that she had suddenly started having back at Club Lust were somehow connected to him, to Michael, and the intense power that surged every time they touched.
He dipped his head, grazing his teeth over her cheek and jaw.
Chrystal shivered, remembering for the first time since he’d started kissing her just how close she was likely walking on the edge of danger. Trust. She knew she wasn’t wrong. He was a lycan and it all boiled down to trust.
“Good.” He breathed into her ear and then sucked her lobe between his teeth, gently biting then swiping the tip of his tongue over the mark.
She did trust him. She knew she could. There wasn’t an ounce of doubt in her body, mind, or heart about that.
He licked his way down her neck, his hand returning to frame her hip, then climbing her side in a sensual rise that made her writhe between his body and the window. He arched his lower body into hers and she felt his cock, impossibly hard and deliciously ready, through the material of his jeans and her skirt.
She wound her arms around his broad shoulders, her hands flattening on the warm, naked flesh of his back. She wanted to touch more of him, wanted to taste him, but it was his mouth that explored and his hands that roamed her body. He pushed his leg between hers, lifted his knee, and her
