who was now seated on the bull. She saw his hand raise up and with a nod of his black Stetson, he was out of the gait. She felt her whole body tighten as the bull cut loose, spinning and bucking into the air.
With a buzzer going off, the men jumped the fence and in they went. With a high buck from the bull’s ass, Ryder went flying through the air, landing on his back with a loud thug.
“Jesus!” Trinket screamed. She watched as he lay perfectly still. The other men keeping the bull away; leading him out the gait. Men were all around him. She could no longer see him. Then as the group began clearing as they laughed, she caught the first sight of him. Dusting off his wranglers with his hat. Acting like it was no big deal.
His head rose, locking eyes with Trinket. She was furious. Had he done that just for show? On purpose just to get a reaction from her. The more she thought about it, the more she became annoyed with him. Abruptly, she snubbed her nose in the air as she turned stomping away.
“Asshole.” She cursed. If he thought he was going to ruin her vacation, he had another thing coming. She wanted to find the pool the brochure had talked about, lay down with a book and relax. Surely to god, the workers unless associated with the pool, weren’t allowed to come in. She found her way back to her room fairly easy. Grabbing the first swim suit in her case, she put on the two piece bright orange suit with a pair of short cut offs.
As she was walking her way back down, his voice sounded from the entry way. She stopped. He was talking to someone.
“When did she make her reservations here?” Ryder was asking someone about her.
“About a week ago. Actually another woman made them for her. The woman said she needed a place to relax and let out some steam. Apparently, she works all the time and doesn’t go out much.”
“Oh, she goes out alright.” She could hear him just as plain as day. It was almost as if he didn’t want her there.
“What’s that supposed to mean? Do you know her?”
“I’ve seen her around. I don’t trust her. Something about her rubs me the wrong way.”
“What could she possibly be doing here?” It was Mel that he was talking to. Mel didn’t seem too suspicious but Trinket was hoping he didn’t tell her where he had seen her.
“I don’t know.”
“If I didn’t know any better, I would think you have the hots for her.”
“Ha! The only thing I have for her is a pain. She’s a thorn in my side. Don’t go getting any ideas. That one is fucked up. I don’t want you getting to close to her.” Trinket could hear the warning in his voice. He thought she was fucked up.
Slowly, she turned going back to her room. She was stunned. Hurt even. Confused as to why it would even bother her. It didn’t matter what he thought. It was just his opinion of her.
She felt tears burning her eyes. Closing the door to her room, she went over to her bed; pulling back the duvet, she buried herself there. And once again, she was in a bed, crying. Jerk. She hadn’t come here to cry herself to sleep, but that is what happened.

“Trinket what are you doing?”
“I’m lying in bed crying, Sam. What does it look like?”
