you need anything see myself, Nicki, Paul, or David. Nice meeting
you!" says Samantha while walking away.
"Nice
meeting you too," says Shannon with a confused look on her face.
Samantha
didn't want to say anything to incriminate herself.
They had so
much to do with little time to think about Jacob. She has to go over the menu
with the chef, making sure he has everything he needs for Friday night. The day
was so busy that she completely lost track of time.
"Oh no,
it’s 6:15 p.m.," she says.
She calls
Jacob.
“Jacob I
lost track of time. Will you have the driver wait until 6:45?” she asks.
“Yes of
course.”
When she
arrives at the restaurant it looks closed. The hostess opens the door for her.
“Welcome Ms.
Skyler. Mr. Latters is waiting,” says the Hostess.
She walks
Samantha to his table. Jacob stands up to greet her.
“Jacob,
what's going on?”
“Nothing. I had
the restaurant shut down so we can have complete privacy.” When they sit down
she gives him a big hug.
“What was
that for? Not that I’m complaining.”
“I'm just
happy to see you.”
She sits
close to him in his arms. She didn’t want to let go, she just didn’t want the
days to end. They order their meals and talk about his day.
"How
does your family feel about you being in town?" she asks.
“It's cool.
They love it. I get to hang out and toss the ball around with my nephews.”
"You're
going to make a great dad one day!" she says.
Jacob smiles
at her. She puts his baseball cap on his head backwards just to see how he
looks then takes it off.
“You
are really cute wearing your cap backwards. She wraps her arms around his neck
and kisses him again.”
“Maybe we
should go.”
“Yes! I’ve
been a bad girl.”
“Oh you
have? Well, let’s see what we can do about that!”
He grabs her
by the hand. As they are walking out the restaurant she notices the bill is
$10000. She doesn’t say anything but she knows that’s the cost to close the
restaurant for 3 hours. She puts his cap on her head just as someone snaps a
picture of them as they leave the restaurant. They get in the truck.
"What's
wrong?" he asks.
"They
are still out there snapping pictures,” she says.
"I
tried!” he apologizes.
"Yes
you did and I thank you," says Samantha kissing him.
She puts her
head on his shoulder and puts her hand in his as they drive back to the hotel.
Because people know about the Gala he tells the driver to go around to the
back. They take a private elevator up to the penthouse suite. Jacob turns on
the basketball game while Samantha goes to freshen up. Jacob changes into
a t-shirt and shorts and makes himself a drink. Samantha comes and sits on the
couch.
"Would
you like a drink?” he asks.
“Yes I
would.”
He makes her
vodka with a splash of cranberry on the rocks. They watch the game together.
At 11 p.m.
she says, “I’m turning in.”
"Give
me a minute," he says.
Todd calls
and they start talking about the score.
"Hey
man, I have to go. I’ll call you back," says Jacob.
He turns off
the TV and goes into the room. He sits on the side of the bed.
"What's
wrong?" he asks.
“Nothing.”
“No, you're
upset about something. What is it, the game? I told you I'm really into
sports.”
“I know! I guess
I thought we would gradually work up to me getting upset over the Houston
Rockets getting more attention than me.
She sits up
next to him looking cute with her bottom lip poked out. He‘s like butter in her
hands.
“No, that’s
not what I am trying to do,” he says kissing her. "It's all about
you," he says.
"I told
you I’ve been a dirty girl," says Samantha.
His face
lights up. “That you did,” he says smacking her fat ass.
Jacob
doesn’t want to admit to her nor to himself how deeply he already feels about
her; at least not while they are face to face. Samantha sits in Jacob's lap
wearing only his t-shirt.
“Where are
your panties?”
“I took them
off. They are only going
