damn it, yes, fuck me,” she heard Paul chant as he gripped her ass, helping her. She was mindless with need. When her eyelids fluttered closed, he slapped her rear again. “Watch."
She struggled to focus, then went wide-eyed at the tableau of the reflection of her fucking Paul while Len pounded into Beth. Somehow, they were all looking at each other, but still intimate in their own acts.
" Paul, ” she cried, suddenly afraid of the intensity building inside her.
"It's you and me, darlin', our fantasies, our pleasure.” His assurance was all and exactly what she needed. Vivian soared on wave after wave of pure bliss as she and Paul exploded together.
"I'm going to be moving funny for at least a week,” Viv chuckled, sitting down in the chair in Paul's office to slip on her shoes.
"The massage didn't help?” Paul asked, laying his large hand on her shoulder.
"It was heavenly, but she didn't attend to all my tender areas.” She grinned up at him.
"Damn straight, that's what I'm here for."
Paul winced, and Viv felt horrible that she hadn't been able to disguise her flash of disappointment. This was exactly what she'd worried about while they got dressed. The last two days had been incredible, beyond her wildest dreams, but what happened now? She'd tried her best to live in the moment, cherish her time with him, and not think about the future, but she'd failed miserably. It was so easy for her to picture spending her life with this man, raising a family, growing old together. Convention be damned, she was in love with Paul Landis.
He rolled a chair close, sat down, and gathered her hands in his. “Vivian, I didn't mean that the way it sounded."
"It's okay,” she said, embarrassed when her voice quivered. The last thing she wanted to do was end their time together on a sour note. He'd come right out and said he'd thought about her over their years apart, that he felt their compatibility was more than physical, but he'd made no promises. The reality of where things might go when the weekend ended had never come up.
"No, it is not.” He looked at her with such emotion shining in his eyes, Vivian's heart began to race. “Do you remember our little discussion about Carol and Colin's whirlwind romance?” She nodded her head. “Your skepticism came out loud and clear, and I didn't want to scare you off by telling you what I'm feeling.” His grip on her fingers intensified. “The other night, Colin took a dig at me for sucking at relationships, and he was right. For a long time, all I wanted was fun and games. Owning Sensations has its perks."
"Obviously,” she interrupted with a smirk. He tilted his head and shrugged his shoulders, but his expression remained serious.
"But over the last few years, I've felt an emptiness growing. Sex without emotional involvement is just sex, the pleasure fades quickly. Sure, I've done a lot of living since we worked together, but no woman has ever affected me the way you did then, and still do now, darlin'. Two people don't connect as quickly and deeply as we have unless they've got something real special going on.” He lifted her hands and kissed them softly. “I don't care how crazy it sounds, but I know without a doubt we're meant for each other. Vivian, I'm in love with you."
She launched herself at him with such speed, his chair rolled back to crash against the desk. Somehow, he kept them from falling to the floor as Vivian cried and laughed and kissed him until they were both breathless.
"I love you too, Paul!” She stroked her fingers along his neck. “Damn, Carol's never going to let me live this down."
"I guarantee you that one day, all four of us will be entertaining our grand kids with stories of our unconventional courtships,” he said, holding her tightly.
"Minus a few details, I hope."
