I’ll play along.” Train laughed a little before looking Miego in his eyes. “You still want in?” Train asked, not breaking eye contact.
Miego laughed at the fact that Train didn't believe him when he said he was done. Hell, he didn't believe it his damn self, but for now, that was the plan. “Shit, yeah. I need to make this bread real quick so I can figure out my next move.”
“You thought any more about fucking with those tracks and shit?”
“Yeah, I’ve been playing around with it. I can buy the equipment pretty cheap, and then all I have to do is rent a space. Low maintenance, and I don't have to account for any income. Right now, that’s what I need. I ain't never had a damn legal source of income, so if I take my black ass out somewhere trying to buy a business and shit, the Feds will lock me up before the ink is dry on the contract.”
Train laughed. “You ain't never lied. That’s why I’m sticking to this shit. They don't need to tell me twice. I’ll just keep stacking money until I got enough to survive and then I’m out. I give it a few more years.”
“I'm not fucking with it. I promise you on everything, prison ain't the move, bruh,” Miego said, remembering the time he spent.
His respect had carried over, so nobody really fucked with him, but the time and solitude were what got to him the most. He couldn’t do shit but sit around all day thinking, thinking about what he had done to get there, about what he could be doing, and what he wanted to be doing. That shit fucked with his mental and it was hard. Miego wouldn't wish that on anybody, and he damn sure wasn't about to suffer through it again.
“Shit, you know I know. Don't forget, I was in that damn cage for two fucking years of Fed time, which meant that I had to do all that shit. That’s why I’m doing this. Fuck them street sales. I want the big deals and the big money. I don't wanna go back no more than you do, but I feel you, though. Just make sure you hook me up with some hot shit when you get your equipment up and running.”
“Man, fuck you. I’m not wasting my time.” Miego laughed about the fact that Train kept pressing him for a beat.
“Damn, it's like that? I thought I was your man and shit. You can’t hook me up with one damn track?”
“Yeah, nigga, I got you. You ain't gon’ do shit with it, but I got you.”
“Just watch, I’m ’bout to be on some Jay-Z, type shit, talking ’bout coming up out this hustle game.”
Miego chuckled but stayed focused on the game. “Yeah, i’ight. I feel you, but check it, what do you know about Black?”
Train paused the game, dropped the controller in his lap, and looked right at Miego.
“The fuck you mean ‘what I know about Black?’ I know what you know. He’s bad news and a problem we don't need.”
“You bitchin’ up on me, Train?” Miego dropped his controller and narrowed his eyes at his boy.
“Fuck no. Don’t no man put fear in my heart and you know that. But I’m trying to make money and not start a damn war. That muthafucka is crazy as fuck from what I hear. I never had a run in with him, but I heard shit about him. In fact, if what they say is true, he reminds me of your reckless ass, just doing shit and not worrying about the consequences. So what I do know is if he’s coming for you, the only way to stop that muthafucka is to kill his ass.”
Miego looked Train right in the eyes. “It is what it is, then.”
“Yo ass just got home. You got beef with him or something? If so, how the fuck that happen?”
Miego laughed, more to himself, though, as he thought about Yami. “Not yet, but I’m about to.”
Train stared at Miego, waiting for the rest. “Yami,” was all Miego said.
“Ah hell, you fucking Black’s girl? Damn, Miego. You know how that shit goes, and not just his girl, they got a kid, yo. You know niggas be flipping the fuck out over their baby mamas and shit.”
“Yeah, like your ass gets with Lisa.”
    “Shit, I got
