pretending to be Susie Cyrus. I was living in her apartment and working at her job and pretending to be…well, um, broke…and…your uncle is upset with me for lying, and rightly so. I should have told him sooner.”
“ Well it was wrong of you to lie, but now you’ve told the truth. Uncle Zeke has been miserable without you.”
I swallowed hard. I wanted Zeke to be happy, but it did make my heart soar knowing that he had missed me.
Crystal grinned. “Why don’t you kiss and make up?”
Zeke shook his head, “It’s not that easy.”
“ Why not?” Crystal asked.
“ Well…” Zeke hesitated, “Do you remember when I told you one day I would meet my mate and I would know it instantly?”
“ Yes,” Crystal replied.
“ The minute I saw Janet, I thought she was my intended.”
“ I knew she was the one!” Crystal smiled.
“ For her to lie to me…well,” Zeke shook his head firmly, “my mate would never lie to me.”
“ Well, I think she did,” Eileen said, startling me. “I’ve been standing near you and I heard everything.” Eileen turned to her stepbrother. “Zeke, I loved Crystal’s dad with all my heart and when he passed my heart was broken. I would give anything to have my love back again. And here you are, throwing it away because…”
“… she made a silly mistake,” Crystal chimed in, finishing Eileen’s sentence. “Why can’t you forgive her?”
“ Don’t be stubborn, Zeke,” Eileen said.
Crystal turned to look at me. “Do you promise you won’t lie again?”
“ Of course,” I said, nodding.
“ You know, there are a lot of kids at school that hadn’t been nice to me and now with the school play they are getting to know me and things are changing. I’m willing to give them a second chance, why aren’t you?”
Zeke raised his brows.
“ Think of it this way, Uncle Zeke. You never would have met Janet if she hadn’t traded places with that Susie person.”
“ Look, kiddo, you got to get backstage for the next act,” Eileen said to Crystal. “Let’s give these two a chance to hash it out.”
As she and Crystal left, Eileen called out, “Don’t blow it, brother!”
“ Well,” I said, turning towards Zeke. “I guess I’d better get going. I…”
But before I could say anymore, Zeke had pulled me into his arms.
“ God, I missed you Janet! I never want to be without you again!”
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
“ Baby, you are looking especially sweet today. I love you so much.” Zeke ran his hand gently along the side of my cheek.
My eyes fluttered open. Zeke was standing in front of me buck naked, a light gleam of sweat running along his body. He exemplified the term ‘twisted steel and sex appeal’ with his powerful muscles and chiseled abs. I swallowed as my eyes were drawn to his thighs and I looked at his shaft. He always looked hard and today was no exception. His dick was dangling between his legs like a huge tree limb. He was gorgeous.
“ You looked so peaceful,” Zeke grinned. “I would have let you sleep, only I figured you’d want a few minutes to get ready for the movies. And…” he glanced at the clock on the wall, “we don’t have a lot of time.”
Zeke and I had reunited after seeing each other at Crystal’s play, and today we had plans to see a movie that had just been released. Crystal had turned us on to the big screen and now we loved going, but this film was too adult for her, so it would just be the two of us. I was supposed to meet Zeke at seven but had stopped by earlier. I’d let myself in with the key he had given me to his place but he wasn’t there yet when I’d arrived. I had figured he must have gone on a pre-dinner run, and now judging from the sweat on his body, I knew I was right.
“ Whoa,” I said, rubbing my eyes, “I must have conked out.”
Zeke looked at me tenderly and I felt a zing of pure lust rush through my body. Leaning down, he gave me a soft kiss on the lips.
