because if she hadn’t come in at
that moment the haunting stranger would have held her captive and she’d have
been late for her meeting, that was for sure.
    -—
    A fter
a long and stressful day Marilyn got into her candy red Infinity G35 coupe and
headed for her sanctuary, the gym.  Nothing helped her relax more than a good
workout.  Well, truth be told, a night of hot sex would beat the gym for first
place any day but her sanctuary was a rewarding second placer.
    Marilyn soon
reached Work It Gym, a first class all inclusive complex that had everything
from aerobics center, weight rooms with the top personal trainers to basketball
courts, tennis courts, squash courts and a first class swimming pool.
    When she got in her
personal trainer was already waiting and ready to go.  They started with some
laps around the basketball court then they did their stretches.  Next they
moved on to her favorite exercise, squatting.  And yes, it showed that it was
her favorite because she’d been told she had a super sexy piece of ass, one
that was not missed by the lusting eyes of the men at the gym who should have
been working out instead of ogling her butt.  She knew she was hot and she was
there to get even hotter.
    It was an intense
workout as usual as Peter Locke, her personal trainer, was one of the most
experienced of the gym’s staff and he took his job very seriously.  He pushed
her to the edge but she liked it because there was nothing nicer than seeing
the results of your hard work.
    Then, with about
five minutes to go before the completion of her training session she could
swear she saw someone that looked like her arrogant admirer.  He was on the
other side of the gym doing his stretches and he was looking straight at her.
Her eyes widened and her heart quickened as he started to walk toward her, not
taking his eyes off her.
    When he got close
Peter turned around.  “Good evening, Mr. Stone,” he said.  “How may I help
you?”
    “Good evening,
Peter.  If you would excuse us for a few minutes I would be grateful.”
    “No problem, sir.”
With a nod he turned and walked away.
    Mr. Arrogant
watched him walk away then he turned toward her and his lips curled into a slow
smile.  “Good evening, my lady.  Am I not the luckiest man in the world?”
    “Good evening.”
She raised her eyebrows at him.  “Do you really consider seeing me again as
good luck after the way I spoke to you when we first met?”
    He shrugged.  “Your
mouth was being hard but your eyes were oh, so soft.  So yes, it’s good luck.”
    “I’m glad you see
it that way,” she said, an involuntary smile softening her lips.  Discreetly
she looked him up and down, realizing that what she had imagined was a
reality.  His body was amazingly sexy - broad chest, well-defined biceps and
triceps and abs to die for.
    She was drifting
off, into the stars, when his baritone voice grounded her.  “My name is Antonio
Stone and you are?”
    She blinked.  “My
name is Marilyn Love.”
    “ Miss Love,
I assume?”
    “Your assumption is
correct, Mr. Stone.  Is there anything else you would like to assume?”
    “As a matter of
fact, yes.  I assume you’re available for dinner tomorrow at seven o’clock?”
    She paused for a
second, pondering his audacity, but how could she say no?  This man had been
driving her and her sensitive spots crazy since the day they met.  So, since
she was right about her suppositions about his body, her curiosity regarding
his easy ability to leave her moist left her with only one choice.  “I’m
available,” she said, and there was no hesitation in her voice.
    They exchanged
phone numbers and as she wrote his information on the back of one of her
business cards a slight tremble shook her writing hand.  She was acting on
impulse but she couldn’t help but wonder, in accepting his invitation was she
being the stupidest woman in the world?
