shoulders, making him take pause. I released my legs to slide down the wall to my feet, effectively stopping him before he came. I shoved him away from me and pulled my skirt back down over my hips.
“Wait, what?” he stammered, his knees almost giving way under him, his wet cock trembling in front of him. “Taryn, I thought…” he started to reach for me.
“You thought what, Cillian?” Trixie screamed, standing just a few feet away from us, having come out of the ladies room.
“Trix!” Cillian gasped, stumbling backwards, but his jeans tripped him and he fell on his bare ass.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Trixie bore down on him, her eyes lost to black and that animal snarl back on her delicate features.
“I can explain,” Cillian said, putting his hands up in surrender.
“Well, I’ll let you two sort this out. Trixie, you can even finish up for me if you’d like,” I said lightly, flashing a smile at them. “Listen, Cillian, don’t think this makes things even, but well, I do feel a little better.” He stared at me, mouth agape and confusion etched on his once beautiful face.
“You fucking whore,” Trixie spat at me.
“Oh Trixie, glass houses and stones don’t go together,” I tsked at her and blew a kiss at Cillian. “Hope that doesn’t hurt too badly,” I nodded at his still hard cock and spun on my heel and walked over to Roxy.
“You are a cruel bitch,” Roxy laughed when I reached her.
“Thanks!” I beamed at her and led the way back to the club proper.
    “Feel better?” she asked.
“Actually,” I glanced over my shoulder, “yeah, I really do.” Trixie was storming out of the club with Cillian hot on her heels, trying to put his clothing back in order as he rushed after her.
“I can’t believe he thought he could get some from you,” Roxy said, watching them leave.
    “It was the bite mark.”
    “What do you mean?”
“He kept trying to go for it; I think he was just trying to get some blood from me.”
    “Ew,” Roxy said succinctly.
“They haven’t been raising magic together, so he was drained. I think he was just trying to get some from me, but then when I took him into the hallway to get fucked he wasn’t going to turn me down.” I shook my head, still staring at the club door even though it was closed and they were lost from sight.
“So he wasn’t trying to get you back,” Roxy said, “he was just gonna get some blood from you and go back to her, wasn’t he?”
“I’m not sure. After the way he’s changed, I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried to keep both of us.” I laughed, the sound bursting from me suddenly. I felt a weight lift from my shoulders; one night of dancing with Roxy and I had let Cillian go.
“I can’t believe I wasted so much time on him,” I sighed once I caught my breath.
“Don’t think about it anymore,” Roxy said, grabbing my hand and pulling me away. We melted back into the crowd. The energy was back in full force and people had already forgotten about the earlier interruption. Roxy found a couple of partners almost immediately and she reached for me, but I needed a break. I slipped away and stepped off of the dance floor. I was still practically naked, glad I had a jacket in the coat check room that would get me home without being arrested later. The boots had served me well; it had been a few hours and my feet weren’t complaining. I thought about going back to the bar, but I had drunk more alcohol tonight than I had in the last year and I could still feel its effects clouding my head.
I found a booth, miraculously empty, and slipped in. The booths here were deep and dimly lit and the bench seats wide enough to lie down on. Usually you’d find at least two couples occupying a booth at a time, with a third occupying the table top. I didn’t think I’d get to enjoy this moment of solitude for much longer. I slid all the way to the end of the booth and stretched my legs out on the bench,
