are. Wes and Luke may be decent and good, just as much as her father is a bad human, but this is about humans versus werewolves. She fought long and hard over her decision, and in the end, it was just as hard to make as it was in the beginning.
She approached her father one day while he was poring over some paper work in his study. “So, can you promise that no harm will come to Luke or even Wes?” she asked.
He jumped up instantly, ecstatic that she was finally seeing things his way. “I promise. I just want to get to the location of where all the others can be found.”
She sighed and paced the floor some more, wearing a hole in the carpeting. “So what is the plan? I have never been there, and he has never been keen on telling me anything about the place. He has always been meeting me down at the entrance, and whenever we felt like it, I would take him here to the den.”
“Well you can’t make it appear as if you are desperately trying to find out about the location. Just sweet talk him into saying something, or even showing you.”
“He will wonder about the sudden interest I am showing. I have always tried to respect his privacy and not pry into what is not only his secret to keep. It was only by chance that I had found out any way.”
“Just get close enough to get him to say something. If he mentions asking his brother about it, talk him out of it. His brother would never allow him to do something like that.”
“Got that right. He doesn’t trust me at all, especially after finding the pouch you gave me of all those werewolf weapons.”
“Yeah, didn’t mean for that, but all the more reason to keep him out of it. All you have to do is get him to talk, and then tell me when he plans to take you there.”
“Well what if he happens to take me there on an impulse? I can’t be showing that much interest only to shy away when he does decide to take me; and telling him that I don’t have boots won’t do much good either.”
“I can’t plan all the details for you. Just wing it. I would only like to be given notice or it would all be for naught.”
“Not necessarily. If he takes me there I am sure I could find my way back.”
“Don’t get your hopes up. I have combed the city for miles and have not found a trace of them. They may not be that close for you to be able to, especially undetected. They are animals after all and they can sniff out a scent from a mile away.”
There was no easy way to get the wolves, but at least he was that much closer to it than before. If his plan worked, then he would be rid of them soon. He was a bit torn that he had to be getting his teenage daughter in the middle of this, but if it meant getting rid of the enemies, then so be it.
Chrissie on the other hand was a bag of nerves all over. She was not sure how to deceive someone who had shown her nothing but kindness. But with all the recent attacks, she was not entirely convinced they weren’t the work of wolves, and if there were wolves out there doing that, then they deserved to face her father’s obsession.

CHAPTER NINE
Wes could hardly contain himself when he sat watching the news, only to hear of another mauling. Derek was at it again. He wondered as to the motive behind this one, but it really didn’t matter. The more he created, the more clean up that had to be done and the more questions that were going to be asked. He punched the wall and almost broke his wrist in the process, which was just as well; it wouldn’t have stayed broken.
Lucy walked up behind him and held him
