had already started on building my brand. Rico helped me get two stores up and running. I named each one after my women. Savannah World carried all my latest fashions for a woman, and Faith & Hope’s Treasure Island was my children’s store.
It was about time I started thinking about my family and our future. I had my stores going strong here in N.Y. I had my girls and my Queen to my right and my left at all times. It was time we move on up like the Jefferson’s.  It’s been almost 3 months since Savannah graduated and she’d been promoted twice already.
Savannah received a phone call from Domus Inc. in Philadelphia, PA. Her portfolio spoke for itself and my lady was receiving phone calls left and right. I planned for us to take a trip to Philly for the week. She had an interview setup with Domus, Inc Advertising Agency.
We took a drive to Philadelphia a couple days early to look at some homes over in the Chestnut Hill section of Philly. I pulled up in front of this huge home that sat up on a hill. You might as well just call this crib a Mansion. Savannah’s eyes lit up and she started stuttering and squeezing my hand.
“Oh, Ah Babe is you kidding me? I love it already.”
Savannah said to me as we pulled into the driveway.
As soon as we walked in Savannah turned to our Realtor Olivia saying.
“Hey, Olivia can we start upstairs and work our way downstairs. Like in the Master Suite first.”
Savannah said while giving Olivia a little chuckle.
Olivia laughed while answering Savannah at the same time.
“Sure Savannah we can start upstairs. I have a couple of treats up there for you and the girls. So let’s start here in the Master.”
The Master Bath had a Jacuzzi with a separate shower, also, in the Master Suite, there was two walk in closets his and hers as Olivia walked around the Master Suite showing us the beautiful details of this lavished home. The bedrooms that we used for the girls had adjoining doors we figured it was no need to tear a wall down because they would be older soon and would want their own space. Each room had a walk in closet as well as bay windows with attached window seats. Faith & Hope had an adjoining bathroom with double sinks kind a remind me of the rooms on the TV show “Sister Sister” back in the day.
There were two other bedrooms on the upper level, and another guest bedroom a guest bath on the lower level along with a finished basement with an attached Studio. The kitchen was amazing it had a center island with sink and dishwasher, there was a laundry room down the hall from the kitchen and a family room. Faith and Hope had their own playroom on the lower level. There was an In-law Suite for Desiree since she would be moving with us also. After doing the whole walk through I looked over at Savannah and a sked her if this was it. She quickly responded, “Man what you waiting for?” We signed on the dotted line now all we had to do was wait to see if we’re approved.
I thought it would be a good idea to get a feel of Philly since this would be our hometown soon. Savannah had a couple of interviews set up at the beginning of the week so I just grabbed us a suite at the Courtyard Marriot Philadelphia Downtown. Desiree is due to meet us at the hotel around 11 am. I set up some showings for some retail spaces for that afternoon at 2. I wanted to take Savannah along with me too for her input. With little sis coming down it made it easier for Savannah and I to do our running around. Desiree made it there just in time for us to give her kisses and walk right out the door.
Savannah and I waited outside of the hotel for the valet to bring our car around. We laughed at how some of the Philadelphians dressed. She made a comment saying I would have no problems selling any of my clothing down here. Our car pulled up just in time.
I had an appointment at 2 pm downtown on Chestnut St to look at a retail space there. This building could
