fifteen."
    "I know, right."
"So when you wanna get married?"
"Damn, I just gave you the ring, can we be engaged for a minute?" Quan joked, but was really serious.
"Okay, but for how long? I ain't tryin' to be engaged for another nine years."
"It won't be that long, ma. I promise. Just be cool, a'ight." "Okay." Mo sighed.
"Now come on, my dick still hard. I wanna hit it in the shower."

    Hate It or Love It
Things between Mo and Quan had been going good, as a matter fact, more than good. Things were better than ever.
The two couldn't get enough of each other. Whatever time they could spend as a couple, they did. It was really a peaceful time for them. The prank calls hadn't stopped, but other than that, it was all good.
One day in particular, Mo was making her way over to her father's house to show off her engagement ring. She hadn't seen him in a couple of weeks, so to spend some time with him would be a nice treat, although their relationship was strained. Besides Quan, her father was the only other man to ever break her heart. He was smart, funny and told it just like it was. A lot of people said that they acted more like friends than father and daughter.
When she was younger, he would take her to baseball games, camping and fishing, but all of that stopped once her mother died. The day her mother's spirit drifted off to heaven was the day Mo and her father's relationship changed for the worse. He hated looking at Mo's face. She reminded him too much of his wife and the fact that she was dead and never returning.
Her father closed himself off to the world and his children.
He continued to work and provide for his family, but in reality, he didn't want to go on. The only reason he got up each morning was because he knew that his wife would have wanted him to. During his state of depression is when Mo needed him the most. She needed her father to tell her that everything would be alright, but when Mo had reached out for help, he had only pushed her away. This was one of the reasons she leaned on Quan so much. He was there for her when no one, including her father, was.
As usual, Cameron Parthens Senior was outside doing yard work. Mo's father was handsome, to say the least. His skin was a silky mahogany brown and his warm smile brightened up any room he entered. Donned in a baseball cap, T-shirt, and tattered jeans, Cameron looked nothing like a sixty-four-year-old man. He could've easily passed for forty.
    "Hey, daddy."
"Monsieur, I didn't know you were coming over." Her father smiled as he kissed each of her cheeks. He was the only person that called Mo by her full name.
    "I'm sorry I didn't call first."
"It's okay. You know you don't have to call to come over here. You eat yet? You look hungry."
"No, I haven't, how you know?"
"'Cause, I'm your father. I know everything. Now come on in this house. I got some grits, eggs and bacon left on the stove."
As Mo walked into the house, a sense of calm washed over her. She always felt at peace when she came home. Memories instantly filled her head as she admired the family portrait they'd taken over ten years ago. In it was her mother, father, four brothers and Mo. They were all dressed in white.
Mo was the youngest of the bunch. She loved being the youngest of five but sometimes being around a house full of men became nerve-wracking. Every last one of her brothers was overprotective. They never let her out of their sight. She had to sneak around if she wanted to have boyfriends. Mo was never able go anywhere on her own. One of her bothers always had to be with her.
Although they smothered her to death, Mo loved each and every one of her siblings dearly. There were her twin brothers, Kerry the investment banker and Curtis the construction worker. Then there was Calvin the moocher, and Cameron Junior the hustla. Out of all her brothers, she and Cam were the closest. They were only two years apart in age, whereas her other brothers were all five and ten years older
