I reached over pushing the button for Amanda to come in and translate. I didn’t like for her to catch me looking at her, I felt that it would give her an edge. She would see it as a weakness and try to use it against me and that simply wasn’t going to happen; not in my world.
You have to understand that Amanda looks like little Miss. Goody two shoes to the public, but I know the real Amanda. I know the sneaky little bitch who tried to hustle me out of my company before my dead partner’s body was even cold in the ground.
She had taken an idea that was mine and tried to market it, but that is in her version that she wrote. Some book that she wrote and titled ‘Twisted.’ She tried to gloss shit over and that is why I’m writing my version now.
Amanda
Once again he just began jabbering faster than I could write. It took everything in me to not say something snarky. More than once my mouth had gotten me in trouble. I needed this job, not for the money’s sake, but for my sanity’s sake, or at least that’s what I tell myself. I bit my tongue and kept writing.
I eyed my assistant as she wrote and I knew that she was pissed, after all; I had purposely made her that way. For some reason Amanda brought out a side of me that very few women did and I enjoyed toying with her. It could have something do with the fact that she would take the pennies off of a dead man’s eyes.
Things like purposely making her uncomfortable , or purposely embarrassing her were fun to me, to put it simply, I was looking forward to more intense mind fuck sessions with my little Amanda, I enjoyed how she got angry when she became uncomfortable around me, all because I knew that she was getting angry at herself for allowing it to happen. Yes, toying with Amanda was fun, and I was just getting started.
Chapter Three
Standing at well over six foot with the whole tall, dark, and dangerous going on, James could have just about any woman that he wanted. It took a certain kind of woman to peak his interest though.
James liked a woman that had an under currant of ‘dirty girl.’ Not a slut in public, but a classy woman with a deviant side. A side that cried out, “Take me and make me do dirty girl things.”
Amanda had that and James saw it. No matter how well she hid it from her public ; she couldn’t hide it from him. James had the innate ability of being insightful. He could read his opponent and he could read Amanda. He had every intention of using it against her; just because he could and just because the little bitch deserved it.
One thing that James did not factor in was the fact that he had done what so many men before him had; he had underestimated Amanda.
James was not the only person gifted with insight, Amanda had been on her own much of her adolescent life and insight was not only something that was innate, it was a trait that Amanda had honed in on and perfected. James would have his hands full with Amanda. He just didn’t know it yet due to his underestimation of her. He was also blinded by the revenge that he sought to seek on her.
Chapter Four
Amanda
“I can’t get out of it John, just shoot TV on Thursday, it isn’t that big of a deal.”
“See, I knew it, this job is going to get in the way of what we are doing. You have a job here Amanda, and that should be your priority. I let you get that job.”
I turned around glaring at John, “You let me get this job? I am a grown ass woman, John. You need to stop while you are ahead, before this becomes a full blown fight. That would be the smart thing to do.”
