Lepus neck as the frightening snippet assailed his mind.
Lepus slept, her back curled at his chest. She breathed calmly, no strident scent of pain or fear coated her skin as she slumbered. Viper pulled her closer needing the contact of her flesh, but something prevented him. Viper glanced over Lepus' slight form to see her hands and ankles were shackled.
Viper's sudden rage almost overwhelmed him as he saw someone had restrained his female.
Lepus' eyes flew open and focused on Viper, fear in her eyes.
She tried to push away but her groin was still trapped by his engorged cock. She gasped and her eyes widened even further. Viper tried to run his hand comfortingly across her cheek but she looked at him warily.
"They chained her, forced her to accept me!" The devastating realization made Viper choke.
If she were an Anguis female, she would've understood the mating and willingly submitted for him to mount. She would've been just as overwhelmed by the pheromones that signaled she was his subeo and he her virum. But that's not what happened here.
"I raped her." Viper closed his eyes in pain and shame.
He couldn't begin to imagine the fear and pain he subjected her too. How could he explain that he'd not been himself? That instinct had gripped him when she went missing, and once it had the beast inside him had demanded he claim his mate.
He'd felt proud for having found his subeo even though she was of this foreign species. He knew he needed to proceed cautiously but now this. For the first time in Viper's life he feared rejection. He deserved nothing less than her hatred and no doubt she'd be loath to ever allow his touch again.
"Someone get in here and undo these fucking restraints." Viper bellowed. "Bring me a Goddess damned blanket and a med kit!"
    Moments later Ophidian, entered hesitantly.
"Before you say anything my Prognatus, you went feral and tore up your quarters. We feared you'd accidentally kill the female if she resisted when you tried to mount her." His friend entreated as he tossed Viper the blanket and the med kit.
"Give me the key." Viper couldn't say anything else at the moment.
Viper covered Lepus, hiding her small body from view. She was small, very small, he would've easily killed her. But what made them think she could withstand him, even chained. Looking at the destroyed portal, Viper couldn't fault his friend, even though he wanted to blame someone. He was the one who bit viciously into her shoulder when he marked her. He was the one that took Lepus by force.
"We gave her the language implant so soon she'll assimilate it." Ophidian said.
Viper growled at the thought of someone touching Lepus and chaining her naked. Ophidian fled realizing it was probably best while Viper was still in no shape to get up and attack him.
Viper undid the manacles and again Lepus tried to shift away. Her gasp was hoarse as his cock tugged at her swollen channel.
Viper felt her silken sheath tremble, and he shuttered at the unbelievable pleasure. He'd mounted females before, but none had been this tight, this soft or warm. Viper closed his eyes. He had to relax, or he'd never be able to release her.
Lepus stretched her arms and legs carefully, with a pained groan.
Guilt assailed Viper. He grabbed the med kit and ran a hand along Lepus shoulder.
"What do you want?" Lepus said warily her voice ragged.
She had damaged her voice crying out as he mounted her. Viper's chest ached at the horrific realization. This was not how his mating was supposed to happen. Females were cherished, mates were worshiped.
"I'm going to clean your wound." Viper replied. It was the least he could do.
Lepus' head tilted, but she still didn't understand him fully. Her implant still needed time to assimilate. Viper pointed to the disinfectant wipe and then her shoulder. Lepus nodded in understanding so he gingerly wiped his bite mark clean.
Lepus flinched but didn't pull away. She eyed him as he cleaned the crook of her neck. Her eyes
