Gavin raised himself up and looked at her, her sweet pixie face flushed,
her hair messed up.
“I think it’s highly likely he may just guess what
we’ve been up to.”
“Oh, he’ll know all right but as he’s only my step Dad there’s not a damn
thing he can do about it and Mum’s not bothered by it as long as I don’t get
knocked up. He’s going to hate you on sight though, you don’t fit into his
comfor table little category of what he classes as
suitable young men for me , ” she wriggled
against him . “Seriously
Gavin, you need to get off me.”
“Ok, ok , ” he sighed as
he slipped out of her and off the bed, she handed him a tissue.
“Take the raincoat with you , ” she told him,
“It is after all, all you in there.”
Once dressed, they headed for the kitchen where Kiera offered him a
drink. As the kettle boiled, the back door opened and Kiera’s mother stepped
into the kitchen, she greeted her daughter and after givin g Gavin a quick and approving glance up and down, grinned
and winked at her daughter . “Dad and I are
eating out tonight, are you able to make sure Nanny see’s to Devon?” she asked.
“Yes Mum, I’m staying in tonight anyway . ”
“You are such a good daughter,” T onya said
before leaving to change.
    “Your Mum’s cool,” Gavin commented,
Kiera only managed to respond with . “she is,” before her step dad came into the kitchen.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me Kiera?” He asked eyeing Gavin with
distaste.
“Dad, this is G avin, remember I told you about
the new boy at college?”
    “I remember , ” he touched
Kiera’s cheek . “Why are you so
flushed?”
“That may be my fault Mr Abrahams, I kissed her, I think I have
embarrassed her . ” Gavin stepped
in.
“I supposed that is your monstrosity parked
outside my house?”
Gavin bristled . “If you are
referring to the Supra then yes, it’s mine,” he turned to Kiera . “I’d better go, Dad is expecting me
back.”
“Do you have a last name Gavin?” Edward Abrahams asked as Gavin passed
him, his ho stility barely concealed.
Gavin stopped at the kitchen door and turned to face the older man,
“Jensen, my name is Gavin Jensen . ”
Edward smiled “Jensen? Of the Mayfair Jensen’s?” his mood changing
instantly at Gavin’s surname.
    “Yes . ” came the
reply.
“You mu st be Michael’s Grandson then?”
“That’s right, you know him?” Gavin asked.
“Yes, I have had the pleasure of doing business with him, Tessa and
Matthew on several occasions, unfortunately, I have also had the misfortune of
being taken over by that parasite Paul. You must be
Tessa’s boy . ?”
Gavin smiled and leaned back against the door pushing his hands into his
pockets, he shook his head “No. I’m Paul’s son, you know, the parasite.”
“I see the resemblance now , ” Edward frowned . “I thought you lived with your m other?”
“I did, now I don’t and just so you know, I am very much like my Dad. It
was very interesting meeting you Mr Abrahams, I’ll mention you to my
Grandfather tonight when I see him . ” Gavin turned
out of the kitchen and headed for his car.
“I’m really s orry about that , ” Kiera puffed as she caught up with
him.
“It’s ok, interesting how he suddenly approved of me when he heard my
last name .” H e unlocked his car.
“Well, he heard Jensen and saw pound signs , ” she shrugged . “Apart from him, I had a really nice time, we still ok for Friday night or has my Dad put y ou off?” S he touched his arm.
“Of course we’re still on for Friday, you don’t seriously think something
like that would bother me do you?” H e wrapped his arms around her . “I have a
feeling winding your Dad up is going to be most amusing , ” he bent to whisper the last part into
her ear, finishing with , “h e’s watching , so I guess you
had better have one last round of tonsil tennis with me before I leave.”
Kiera sighed . “Oh ok ,
