adventures in space with? They wouldn't let my girlfriend in that's for sure.
I strolled down the corridor mindlessly during my lunch break, when wow, I thought, as a cute, red-haired lass wearing a tank top and black mini-skirt walked past me. I would stroke that long silky hair all day, sweeping her hair away from her exposed arms and perfect cleavage before getting on my knees and --
"Guys, we got an issue and need to go over our own individual procedures!" yelled the head captain of our entire section, causing everyone to drop what they were doing and stand in a small circle in the main hub of the room.
"We got two new recruits here today. I want you guys to meet Jack and Sarah." He then turned to us, leaned closely and said "I'm Brad by the way, I already told Jack this but any problems you guys have just let me know." He then winked at us and went back to pacing up and down slowly with his hands behind his back.
So she was new too! I'm glad we met on good terms so I'm not the only one with these new responsibilities. Of course that wasn't the only reason I wanted to chat her up.
"So, you're Sarah," I said, quietly scratching the back of my head.
"Hello, yes. I hear your name is Jack, right?" She had a very soothing voice and seemed very well mannered. If I wasn't careful I'd find my emotions turning me to someone else, had to keep my control.
"That's right miss, it's nice to meet you."
I started to blush as she walked up close to me, "I can sense you're a bit overwhelmed, if you need any help or someone to speak to, this isn't my first time doing top secret agency work," she said, putting her hand on my shoulder.
I don't think either of us noticed this guy Brad was still rambling away about something, currently he was pointing to a map of the entire building on a big screen. Still blushing, Sarah and I secretly sat next to each other during Brad's introductory speech, I must admit my anxiousness was disappearing.
Supposedly, the planet we were traveling to disappeared during the 80's when extra-terrestrial activity was found near to the planet's coordinates. It was found that if they had not disappeared when they did, the coloring in everyone's DNA would have been universally catastrophic as the technology they were using to mine the planet of its highly valuable gasses wasn't able to isolate itself appropriately, and that's when they had to shift it to an alternate dimension to finish the job. They want us, me and Sarah specifically to investigate and pocket some of what we find there.
"We'll do it," Sarah said after the briefing.
"I'm sure we will. I'm quite looking forward to it!" I responded in nervousness.
We both stood up and I followed Sarah as she looked more like she knew where she was going. "Um, Jack, I don't quite know where we're supposed to go."
"Oh, I assumed you knew, so I was following you," I shrugged. At the time we were both standing next to a double door with little circle windows in them. I looked through, urging her to look through the other window, to the most beautiful sight either of us had ever seen: ship upon ship lining up next to each other with people in yellow suits walking up and down. I wondered how a room this size fit in the building. It sure didn't look possible when I was outside looking up.
After creeping in, we both paced down the hanger eying all the nice looking ships. Brad emerged from behind us when we both stopped, admittedly like we didn't know what we were actually doing in here.
"You guys will be in this little beauty right here, it's quite new so make good use of it and report if there are any problems okay?" He shortly walked off leaving us to enter the ship and presumably leave.

After stepping onto this magnificent looking ship and immediately feeling the cool air blowing onto us, I couldn't wait to get some private time with my new stunner of a partner, just to get to know her, you know, for my sociology research and not to hit on her or
