front of her and began to smoke never paying any mind to Black Ice and Tiffany standing there. “Go ahead and talk to your friends,” Black Ice said as he smiled his devilish grin and looking at his work.
Tiffany ran over to her friend, “Star! Star, what are you doing? Are you okay?” Star looked up at Tiffany kneeling down at her and put down the crack pipe.
“Tiffany, is that you? I must be fucking high. Yo, Yasmin I think I see Tiffany again and am I smoking too much?”
Tiffany looked to her left two feet away and couldn’t believe it. Yasmin was sitting on the floor smoking. “Oh shit! I think I see her too, girl,”
    Yasmin replied.
Tiffany took Star’s hand, “It’s me, Star. I am here.”
“Oh my, Lord! It’s really you, Tiffany,”
Star and Tiffany hugged. Yasmin came over and the three women hugged and cried. Tiffany broke their embrace and looked at them. The crack they have been smoking have ate away at all their body fat. They were skinny in the face and had blemishes. Yasmin and Star had on nothing but a long white T-shirt to cover their bodies. ‘I can’t believe this. My best friends are full blown crack heads,’ Tiffany thought to herself.
“Tiffany, where have you been? We thought you was dead,” Star stated. Tiffany lowered her head. So many times she wished she was dead from being trapped in that room and being raped by Black Ice and forced to smoke crack. Her mother used to always say ‘no matter how bad your situation is there’s always someone in the world doing worse’. She now knew that was true. Here I am stressing and crying because I’m being beat and raped by Black Ice, but stay in a room as big as an apartment full of luxury and sleeping on a bed while my friends are being raped by five different men every day and sleeping on the floor.
“No, I’m not dead even though I wish I was many times. I been with the man with the scar on his face and you were right he is Black Ice.”
    “I knew it!” Star shouted.
“Star, you want to hit this?” Yasmin said passing Star a glass pipe filled with crack. Star held the lighter to it and inhaled deeply the thick smoke.
She passed the glass pipe with more crack. “Here Tiffany hit this,” Star said passing the pipe.
“I want to, but I can’t,” Tiffany said fighting the urge to get high. And what was even sadder was to see that her friends were now smoking on their own free will and now addicted.
“Tiffany, what’s going on? Why are we being kept here? I don’t even know how long we’ve been here. I just keep smoking to fight the pain of what these men do to us every day and from missing my family. I see some women and girls leave here and never come back. I think they kill them and bring new girls and women in. Tiffany looked back just to make sure Black Ice was nowhere near them. He was walking off and talking to some of his henchmen and was looking at some of the other women.
“Star and Yasmin, I need you two to stay strong. I’m going to find us a way out of here.”
“How?” Star asked not believing it.
“I don’t know. But I will. Black Ice uses this place to bring women and get them addicted to crack and pregnant then sets them free and it brings him more business because there’s a new generation of crack heads,” Tiffany replied.
“So, that’s what they’ve been doing?”
Yasmin said really getting into the conversation for the first time.
“I think I’m pregnant,” Tiffany said looking at her stomach.
    “Me too,” Yasmin added.
“I am too. So what are we going to do?”
    Star asked.
“Don’t worry I have a plan. We just have to be ready okay. I’m going to try to get us out of here real soon. Every other Wednesday, Black Ice has a meeting with henchmen and workers and once every month they go and kidnap new women. One of those days when their busy, that’s when we will escape. Try your hardest to stay clean and not smoke and get too high. We’re going to need clear heads
