I’m ready for this
heat thing. Let’s do it.” Her wicked smile beckoned him, as if he needed
further enticing, to cover her body and drive into her. He’d been dreaming of
it every night, and he didn’t need quetzalem blood to induce the erotic dreams.
“First, I must tell you something.” As he stood from the bed
to address Sephina, the brows between her bright amber eyes furrowed with
impatience.
“Yeah, yeah, I know there’s the possibility of being set on
fire. But you’ve already set my body aflame.”
Gods. The bright pink hair framing her devilish
expression was nearly enough to ignite the brimstone within him. “When you left
last, I traveled to another realm in search of a woman, a succubus or
quetzalem.”
Silence. He could have sworn hurt simmered in her yellow
gaze. She offered a half-smile. “In case you didn’t know, sex demons aren’t
much of a jealous breed.”
“I’m not worried about your jealousy,” he professed. “I’m
worried that my forthcoming admission will frighten you away once more.”
“I’m intrigued.” She crawled up the bed so that she was
kneeling in front of where he now stood. Her hands caught his cheeks and tilted
his face down so that their lips nearly met. “Haven’t you heard the phrase
‘curiosity killed the sex demon’?”
Her sweet expression made him laugh. He couldn’t help
himself around her. The air around her was light, lifting him up into the clouds
without need of his wings. “I have heard that saying, I will not keep you in
suspense.” He caught her arms so she wouldn’t be tempted to run. Instead, her
back arched against him and he nearly cast aside the words to throw her on the
bed and take her in that very moment. “I found a succubus, but I could not have
her.”
“Wow, really? A succubus is usually a pretty sure thing.”
He caught the teasing glint in her eye and punished her
joking lips with a kiss. He lingered in the embrace, sweeping inside her mouth
to let her know he worshiped every word that escaped it. “You’re right, she was
easy. But she was not you. You are the only one I can have…you’re the only one
I want to fuck all night long. The only one I want to pleasure and taste every
crevice of. The only voice I want to hear screaming my name.”
“And the only woman that will make you scream mine.” In a
flash, she caught him off guard and pulled him down to the bed by his pants.
The buttons were ripped loose in her haste and he sprang free. “I take my job
very seriously, dragon boy. I’m going to light your fire and get you healthy
very soon. Your heat may not be on you yet, but I have plans to tease it out of
you.”
Hellplane this woman is hot. “What will you do with
me, succubus?”
She pushed him backward on the bed. “Stay there.”
He watched her shapely ass disappear from his room and
return moments later with the silk ropes he’d once tied her with. “Pay back is
a devil, isn’t it?”
She quickly bound his hands and legs and he wondered about
her ease and experience with bondage. The thought of her with another man made
him ache. His hard on began to deflate, but she slapped it. The sudden erotic
sensation made him steel once more.
“I know what you’re thinking, dragon. Don’t.” She wrapped
more silk over his eyes.
“I want to see you.” Damn the woman.
“You will. But not yet. Not seeing will allow you to…feel.”
He jerked in surprise as her warm wetness surrounded him.
Her lips closed around him tightly and slid up and down his length until he
groaned with need. All too soon, her lips retreated. Her soft footsteps moved
away from the bed once more. He struggled within his bonds to loosen the
blindfold, but her knots held strong. Damn, she was good.
“Uh-uh. No trying to escape. Not that you will.” Her soft,
sensual voice was followed by the flick of a lighter. “I hope you don’t mind, I
found this in your pocket.”
Axel inhaled the scent of a flame dancing near his
