just get this evening over with and enjoy our last night before I have to go back to work tomorrow,”
“Okay,” I nodded. Staring into her blue eyes. “Hurry back,”
“Don’t miss me too much,” she laughed. I smacked her ass as she walked toward the door.
About ten minutes later I was finished setting up watching Skip finish up his last appointment of the day when I heard the door chime. I turned around and to my surprise it was Chase Miller. He stood there looking around the studio, then his eyes met mine.
“It looks like you are doing well for yourselves, boys,” he smiled.
“What the fuck do you want, Miller?” I clenched my jaw, crossing my arms.
“Does he talk to all of his clients like this, Skip?” he was looking at Skip while pointing at me.
“Do not get me involved, Chase,” he concentrated on his tattoo.
“Nope, just you, Miller,” I piped.
“Well, I need a tattoo, and I already made the appointment. If you fuck it up, I fuck you up,” he laughed as he sat on the table.
I didn’t say a word. I walked over to my station. “What is it you want and where?”
“The Nostalgia pin-up on my forearm. Here’s the logo,” Chase grabbed the business card from his wallet and set it on the table.
It only took me a few minutes to draw up the cartoon image of a pin-up girl with blonde hair, red lips, and a skimpy black lace outfit with the tattoo on her shoulder of aces. That is going to be a pretty sick tattoo. But I despise the person I am putting it on.
“Alright, let’s get started,” I sighed, taking a seat on my rolling chair. I cleaned his arm, placed the carbon paper, and on the pedal my Chuck’s went. I wanted this dickhead out of my shop as soon as possible.
“How long have you had this place?” Chase was trying to make small talk.
“I’ll do the tattoo, Miller, but please shut the fuck up,” I said over the buzzing of my gun. Skip was laughing in the background finishing up his paper work.
My heart skipped a beat as I heard the door chime open. I smiled to myself knowing it was Harlow back with our coffee.
“I hope a latte’ is okay. I wasn’t-” she quit speaking, then immediately I heard the coffee hit the floor.
I looked up. “Are you okay, babe?” I asked concerned.
“Yeah, I uh-” she stuttered, pale as a ghost.
    “Harlow Jean,” Chase smiled widely.
    Chapter Four
    Harlow
“Harlow Jean,” Chase smiled at me.
I literally wanted to fucking die. Why is my brother here, right now, in Vice’s tattoo shop? Yes, I called in sick, but that gave him no reason to pry into my personal life. If he had issues with me calling in sick, he could have called me or talked to me when I came back to work on Thursday… tomorrow! This was my brother, though. The habitual asshole that had to make my life a living hell. He wants to see me squirm, he gets off on scaring people.
“Hello, Chase,” I walked to the bathroom to splash cold water on my face and take a few relaxing breaths to slow my heart rate.
I closed the door behind me, then locked it. I quickly walked to the sink and stared at my pale reflection in the mirror. I was too pale. Vice had to have seen something was seriously wrong. Did he? What was I going to tell him when he asks how the hell I know Chase Miller? I felt the hot tears run down my cheeks as I was having a serious panic attack. I was also extremely angry inside. Why is it when I am happy, Chase ruins it. Every time! Damn him! Vice, he makes me happy. Why can’t my brother just let this jealousy issue with Vice Jackson go?
“Fuck!” I slapped my hand on the sink, then turned the faucet on.
I splashed my face with cold water and tried to relax. I jumped when I heard a soft knock on the door.
“Who is it?” I said quietly through the door.
“It’s Skip,” he whispered back. I slowly and quietly opened the door. “I cleaned the coffee mess,”
“What am I going to do?” I started to panic again.
    “He hasn’t said anything about
