complete moron.” Pulling the last tie free he breathed a sigh of relief. “There, done,” he said stepping back.
Holding the dress up to her front she grinned. “You should have seen Lucy lacing me up into this thing.” She rubbed a hand along the fabric. “But I love this dress, Kristof, I felt like a princess in this gown.”
“You are a princess, darling,” he grinned at her, reaching out to stroke his fingers over the top of the dress. “In many more ways than you know, but that’s for a discussion later,” he told her. “Take it off love and I’ll hang it up for you so that it doesn’t get wrinkled or dirty.”
“All right, turn around, Kris.” Her eyes sparkled with amusement and delight, she wanted him to see her naked, but later.
When he was turned around, she let the silk dress slip off of her body and into a pool at her feet, pulling on the shirt and quickly buttoning it leaving on the lace thong and silk garter and stockings. When he turned back around, she had just picked up the dress and had it in her arms. “I need a hanger, preferably a really sturdy one.”
“I’ll do it, love,” he said gently taking the dress from her and heading for the closet. Pulling down a hanger, he got the dress on it and it actually stayed, amazingly enough. Stripping he changed quickly and rejoined her brushing his fingers through his hair. “Ready for some food?” he asked holding out a hand to her.
She had her arms up and nodded. “Let me finish taking my hair down and we will be golden.” Her stomach growled and she laughed. “I seriously need to eat, can we walk at the same time?” Finally all the pins were loose and with a shake of her head and fingers through her hair the strawberry-blond mass fell in waves around her face.
Pausing he reached out to capture a strand of the hair. “Beautiful,” he said softly rubbing it between his fingers lightly. Smiling as he refocused on her he shook his head. “Sorry,” he murmured letting his hand fall. “Come on,” he told her gently as he moved down the hall.
Pulling to a stop she brought his hand up to her hair. “Why did you apologize for touching my hair, Kris? I liked it.” She smiled up at him. “You are welcome to touch me in any way, how, shape and form, Kris, I like having you touching my hair.” She smiled softly. “No one ever touches it, I would like it if you would?”
Stroking his fingers through her hair, he enjoyed the silky texture as he stared at it for a moment before lowering his eyes to hers. “I love your hair, I just wasn’t sure if you’d appreciate my fascination with the color of it. It’s perfect, soft and warm like sunshine in the early dawn hours.”
“I use a lot of gel in my hair at work and it looks more of a ruddy brown. I keep it slicked back and in a bun.” She shrugged and smiled. “But I have a feeling that will be changing if I have the chance to be able to have lunches with you, be able to feel your hands in my hair during our lunches.”
“You can have any time you want with me,” he said softly to her, rubbing her hair gently with his fingertips. “I want as much as you’ll allow me to have,” he smiled gently stepping in closer to her. “And no more gel in your hair, I like it natural and soft.”
“For you I will do anything. I want lunch with you at least once a day, if I don’t forget while working,” she amended and chewed her lip. “I do that a lot, I don’t know about you but I will be on the trail of something and everything else is completely gone to me.”
Grimacing, he nodded and let his hand fall to the small of her back to guide her down the hall once more. “I get into a mode and end up forgetting for days where I am or that I should eat or sleep,” he admitted. “But now,” he said looking to her. “I think I may just start to remember some of those pesky details as long as you’re around to make them worthwhile, that is.”
    “I will always be around,
