out making sure to jab my finger into his hard muscular chest with every word I said after “Mr.”
God, how I wanted to just run my hands across his chest, instead of poking him. But I needed to touch him.
“Look, you don’t need to worry about giving yourself over to me. Unless you want to do, that is.” He says twitching his mouth trying and failing at keeping a smile from his face.
“ You may have won this round Mr. Daniels, but you haven’t won the war!” I said. Stomping off to say good bye to my father before I start punching him, Not that I would probably leave any marks or even hurt him, but still… I need to get away. Fast before I cry or kiss him or… Shit. I have to get out of here.
“ Daddy, I am sorry. I have to run out. Something came up and I need to get going. I will be by next week, ok?” I say, leaning into him to give him a couple kisses on his cheeks and a hug.
“ Of course sweetheart. I understand. And really, don’t worry about me, Matthew really has taken a great deal of worry off my chest. I really feel great! I will see you soon. And accept my friend request on face book.” He says, pointing to his ipod. I nod smiling. “OK, will do. Love you daddy. I will see you soon.” I say walking towards the door.
“ So you all ready for our lunch date Emma?”  Matthew says leaning in the doorway with his arms folded over his chest.
“ WHAT! I don’t have lunch plans with you!” I yell.
“ Darling, you should go to lunch with Matthew. It would do you a world of good.” My dad says back to us who are just glaring at one another.
“ See?? Even your father agrees with me.” Matthew says smiling.
“ Ah, Tom, I am having my chef bring you and John lunch from the restaurant. Emma swears the lobster and crab stuffed shells are to die for.” He says staring at me still.
“ Matthew, you have done too much already. Please you don’t need to waste your money on me.”
Then the door bell rings. “Seems like it’s too late now Tom.” Matthew says winking at me.
I storm out of the suite, while Matthew gives instructions to John, whom works for him I am sure of. And John sets a try for my father up to bring into him.
I lean against the wall in the hall, throwing my head back.
“ This is just great, just fanfuckingtastic!” I say out loud, not realizing it. I stay leaned up against the wall, waiting for Mr. Money Bags, who thinks he can buy my love. Big jerk. I do realize how much he has done for my father. I really do appreciate it. But I hate the feeling of owing someone for something they did for me. Even if they say they don’t want anything in return. My luck has always been the same. They still really want something in return.
Matthew strolls out and walks over to me. Great. Did I really need to lean up against the wall? Now his highness is going to trap me.
“Come on, I’m driving.” He says as he walks out in the hall and moves away from me. Good, maybe the evil glare I am giving him scared him to stay away.
I walk next to him with out saying anything. When we get to the parking lot I speak up. “How about I meet you? I have my car here. That way I don’t have to inconvenience you to return me.” I explain. , trying to not look at him.
“ Hmmm, ok, how about I follow you back to your place, and you drop off your car, and come with me.” He counters.
“ I just feel that it will be better for you, I mean why make you back track.” I try for it again.
“ Yeah, I don’t see that working. Come on. I won’t bite.” He says smiling and walks away to his car.
I growl, storming off to my car, I squeal my tires and leave. Maybe I can ditch his ass. Maybe he won ’t know how to get to my place. Or I can get there first and lock myself in.
I drive home like a bat out of hell. I get there before he does. Thank God. I hurry to scramble up the drive to my front door. Just as I get into my house Matthew pulls up.
I run in the house and bolt the door behind
