feel.” He sounded sad which wasn’t normal for him. I looked up at him determined to make him feel better. “Is there something wrong?” He looked at me for a moment then shook his head and sat up. I shifted so he could get up. I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed. I decided to change the subject. I wanted to see if I could find out more about him. “Is your real name Romeo?” He smiled as he poured a drink. “No it’s James.” I was a little relieved he didn’t deflect. I didn’t know why I was so sure he was going to try to. “Do you have family here?” His expression changed and I could see him close down. He wasn’t going to tell me anything. “How are the articles going?” He acted like I didn’t even ask him a question. I sighed and picked at my fingernails. “Good, I guess.” He came over to me and covered my mouth with his. His kiss was tantalizing and full of need. I laid back as he climbed on top of me. We kissed slowly. He made no move to get my clothes off, so I didn’t try to get his off. He pressed his forehead to mine and his eyes were full of sadness. “I am selling the club.” He spoke slowly and I felt my chest tighten. Normally I would have been happy to hear it. I didn’t like the club but now I wasn’t so sure anymore. The expression on his face scared me. He was losing part of himself.
