and tried to control the shaking.
“No, I’m the one who’s sorry.” Leon distanced himself. So many emotions played on his face that Vex made sure to pay attention to each one. Hurt was the biggest, but he didn’t miss the anger hiding in the shadows of his face either. “I should go.” He quickly walked toward the front door. Vex looked up to see Melody hugging her stomach, tightly. The door closed, and he looked toward her bike. Narrowing his eyes, he made it vanish and materialize in his underground garage. He took in the surroundings and noticed there wasn’t a soul outside.
“Oh, God. What have I done?” Melody sunk to the ground. Vex was on her before her mouth could open to scream. He quickly made them appear in his penthouse. The mattress was suddenly beneath her small frame and he pulled her hands over her head.
“I told you, you belonged to me. How was his kiss? Did you enjoy it?”
Her breasts pushed into his chest as she fought against his restraint. “What would you do if I said yes?”
A growl left his mouth. He pulled the button on her leather pants and jerked them down, along with her panties. She could barely gasp as he flipped her over and connected his hand hard against her ass. A moan instantly came from her mouth. “Tell me the truth. Did you enjoy it?”
Although he needed to hear the words, he already knew the answer. “No. Leon is like a brother to me. I love him, but not like he wants.” Vex massaged his free hand into the whelped skin. The other had her hands pinned above her head. The way she pushed herself against him, it was clear she was enjoying his touch.
“Don’t let me see you kiss anyone again. You’re mine, and I know you know that. Now tell me. Say you’re mine.” Vex lowered his head and ran his face up the side of hers. The soft skin caused him to harden instantly.
“I will not. I don’t belong to anyone.”
He held in the smile at her stubbornness, and spanked her ass again. Her hips instantly rose to meet his fingers. Good girl. He’d not expected anything less from her. She wasn’t going to submit easily, and he loved it. “You must like getting spanked. Now say you’re mine, or you’re getting it again.”
“I…will n— “ The slap had her crying out.  Vex traced his hand over her wet slit and she moved against him. “You’re so wet.” He licked his fingers and closed his eyes at her taste. “Fuck yeah. You are so fucking mine.” He flipped her over, still restraining her.
“I should punish you for all the hell you’ve put me through. Do you know how much trouble I can get in because of your little game?”
Something passed over her face. “I couldn’t care less about that. Tell me how would you punish me?”
“In the most delicious ways possible.” Her scent hit him hard. “I’m going to kiss you and show you how it’s done. Your Leon doesn’t have shit on what I can make you feel.” His lips trailed down her throat and she moaned, pulling her head away.
“No. I want you off me. I want to go back to Harvey’s.”
“You lie,” Vex whispered. “Your body tells me you want to stay.” He wedged her legs apart and pushed the underside of his length against her. “Admit it, Melody. You want me, don’t you?”
A cry came from her mouth. “I can’t.”
He growled. “You’re my mate. You can.”
“ You don’t understand.” Her eyes pleaded to him, and he knew it wasn’t time yet.
Sadness mixed with impatience didn’t make a very good tonic for his temper. Vex sighed and nodded. “If you’re not ready to give in permanently, then you’ll at least stay for the night.”
The pressure she had against his hands vanished as she studied his face. Vex could feel his heart in his throat. Everything in him wanted her to stay. Hell, he was almost ready to beg her. What in the hell was happening to him? He was starting to soften. Heaven help him.
