Twin Temptations
eyes shut. She needed to get a grip on herself, needed to get to work on finding the poor cubs and returning them to where they belonged.
“You know,” Callum said, still rather breathless, “in anyone else, that kind of stunned mindlessness would sound good. But I have a feeling you’re not swearing over how wonderful that just was.”
Samantha opened her eyes and looked deeply into her lover’s green eyes. My lover , her mind resonated, stuck for a moment on that heart-stopping information.
How right it sounded. How utterly perfect. Problem was, there was still a mound of things between them that they needed to talk about, and right now the only thing she wanted was cast-iron proof that he was free and clear and someone else was responsible for the kidnapping of the two cubs.

“What is it? You’re not stressing about protection, are you? I know you’re clean, and I swear I am too.”
Samantha squeezed her eyes shut again. She did not want this conversation. They might be both clean, but she now knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was her True Mate, and so she could still become pregnant.
    They could get pregnant.
Samantha stood up and stalked out of the office. Opening the private connecting door, she strode through into Alexander’s office. She knew he kept a gym bag in his wardrobe, and Samantha desperately needed to put some clothes on, to get some distance.
This whole…whatever it could be called…had been a complete mess from start to finish. How was she supposed to keep an eye on Callum, to watch his investigation and find out what the hell was going on when she was screwing him and falling more and more desperately in love with him every minute?
In love ? her mind echoed, panic beginning to gnaw on the edge of her conscious. She recoiled in horror from her own thoughts. Throwing open the door to the closet, Samantha pushed aside the two spare suits Alexander kept there until she found the soft gym bag on the bottom.
Hefting it easily, she slammed it down on the desk as her thoughts circled around madly. Ripping the bag open, she removed the sweatpants and baggy T-shirt from its depths. Alexander’s sneakers were way too large for her, but she pulled on the socks after sniffing them to make sure they were clean. The less flesh she had exposed to Callum MacLennon, the safer she would be.
Just as she was carelessly throwing the nearly empty bag onto a crumpled heap on the floor of her twin’s closet, Callum stalked through the door. He had put his tuxedo pants back on and his shirt was unbuttoned.
He also looked royally pissed off.

“I don’t know what it is about you, Sammi,” he said angrily, but obviously attempting to calm himself down out of his temper, “but you manage to piss me off and make me burn for you simultaneously. Why the hell is that?”
She tried to dodge him as he closed the distance between them. She thought maybe if she could keep the desk between them then she could keep herself under control and maybe she could go back to pretending this man didn’t touch her heart and soul. As usual, Callum paid no attention to what she tried to do. Instead, he jumped up onto the desk and easily dropped down the other side to where she stood frozen and gently grabbed her arm.
He kissed her. Possessively, fiercely, and despite herself she could feel the cream gathering once more in her bare pussy and her bones begin to melt. When he pulled roughly away from her, she opened her eyes, dazed. Callum groaned in frustration, even though his body still hummed with pleasure and desire.
“How the hell can we share that fire, passion and overwhelming desire for each other,” he asked, “but you still won’t trust me?”
Samantha took a slow, deep breath. “We have to find those cubs,” she started shakily, willing herself to not answer the hurt and need flaring in his deep green eyes.
“I need to go over the information, right now.”
When Callum frowned, she knew he
