dress was picked out by my mother because I wasn’t comfortable with her leaving the house yet. Santini and his men were gone, but I had to be cautious. She looked like a princess, my princess. The gown she wore flowed past her ankles and covered her feet with that sheer, gauzy material over silk. The tight corset pushed her large breasts up, revealing a little more than I cared for others to see, but she was truly mesmerizing.
    I couldn’t wait for her to reach the landing before I was at her side, guiding her to the makeshift altar. All of my ranch hands were there for the occasion along with my parents, brother, and his wife. It couldn’t have been more perfect and intimate than this. Within twenty minutes, we were pronounced husband and wife, and I kissed the bride—chastely. But then I bent down again and kissed her passionately, letting our tongues dance together like they were sharing their first dance as a married couple. Well, it was more like I mauled her on the spot in front of all the guests, but it didn’t matter. She was mine. Ana was my wife. Our lives were just starting.
    “Okay, now y’all can get lost.” I scooped her up into my arms, and everyone erupted in laughter. But nothing was more special than hearing Ana’s musical voice. If I thought my dick couldn’t get any harder with a room full of people—I was wrong. “Fine, come get some grub in the dining room, then get lost.”
    “Don’t you feel the warmth coming off him?” Davy asked Mateo just to tease me.
    “I’ve never felt so welcomed,” Mateo replied pressing his hand to his heart.
    “Boys, leave him be,” my mom said swatting both of them on the arms at the same time.
    “Yes, Mrs. Cline,” they resounded in unison.
    I pulled Ana off to the side and asked her, “Hey, sugar. How are you doing?”
    “I’m wonderful.”
    “That you are. I was wondering if you were feeling up to all these people here?”
    “These are the same people that are in and out of this house almost all day, every day. Stop it. You just want to get rid of everyone so you can have your wicked way with me.”
    “That’s very true.”
    “I can’t wait either. The moment we met in the middle of the sidewalk, I felt actual desire. Pure attraction that I couldn’t act on.”
    “Tell me about it, sugar.” I brought her face close to mine and kissed her softly until I realized that I’d pinned her to the wall with my hips and was dry humping her. I set her down after hearing my brother cough loudly. Oops. I’d been caught red-handed trying to get some relief.
    “Bro, I know it’s bad, but damn, we don’t all need a show. Well, some of those boys do, but Mom and Dad and the judge might not appreciate it.”
    “Oh my gosh,” Ana said covering her mouth, completely embarrassed.
    “Don’t listen to him, even the judge may want a peek,” Sonya said before dragging her hubby away.
    “That was a close one. Let’s go join the rest before I carry you up the stairs and forget everyone else.” She looked at me like that was a great idea. “No, we can’t. So let’s get this party over with.”
    ~~~~~
    The party didn’t last much longer because most had to go back to work, including my parents. Laura and my mother cleaned up the house before they left. We were finally alone, and I felt every nerve in my body throb in anticipation. It was the moment of truth. I was going to make her mine in every way.
    Since I didn’t get to carry her across the threshold, I decided to carry her up the stair and across the threshold in our bedroom. Setting her down on her feet, I locked the door behind us. The next twenty-four hours were going to be interruption-free.
    I turned to my bride in her lovely gown and realized that she was just as nervous as I was. But behind the fear, there was a look of hunger. The same hunger that I’d been trying to cope with for the past couple months now.
    As much as I wanted to rush the moment, I knew that I had to take my time.
