I swear to God almighty Penelope is killing it. Just when I think oh this is it. This book is the best. What happens then? Yes I read ANOTHER of her books and keep getting blown away.
This story is about Madoc Jared’s best friend and his stepsister Fallon. When they were teenagers the trouble was they couldn’t stand each other. But they also couldn’t stay away from one another either. Their attraction was so strong and toxic it was just the matter of time when it would destroy them.
After an amazingly hot night together when Madoc woke up the next day Fallon was gone. She was nowhere to be found not even a note from her. Two years later Fallon is back and Madoc has been instructed to stay away from her. They were not to see and talk to each other for as long as she stayed at his house and he was banned to Jared’s place.
No way in hell that Madoc is accepting those orders. She left him. She disappeared without a trace or a simple goodbye. He has been angry for a long time and time has come for his revenge.
Fallon is not backing down, she is not taking any shit from anyone especially Madoc. He has no right on her what so ever. He left her to deal with the toughest decision of her life on her own. She will show him the new Fallon and get her closure and leave forever this time.

How Penelope manages to pull this off is beyond me. How can she play games with her readers, how can she keep writing masterpiece after masterpiece is something my little brain will never understand.
This is not like yes the book was good, I loved it…. No that is not enough to describe this. My feelings are all over the place! While reading her books I keep coming back for more, my DNA craves it period. After barely 20 min into this audiobook I said to myself ” Oh man this is going to be good”. Yes I really did talked to myself, I was alone and had to shout it out 
Not a single boring part here no…if you want a boring, slow paced, nothing happening book this is NOT a book for you. This one (like the previously ones) had EVERYTHING I think a great book should have.
The tension killed me.
The sexiness aroused me.
The pain broke me.
The love healed me.
Madoc is without a doubt a great book boyfriend to put on my top list. Just like Penelope is on my top best authors list.
The writing is unlike anything else, I can’t even explain it. This is something that has to be experienced on your own. I am so taken by it that I can’t even seem to manage to write a review without sounding bias. But honestly people you DO NOT want to miss out on Penelope’s work.

Nelson Hoobs and Abby Craden are back again and that decision is completely understandable. While listening to their narration it is clear as day why they were picked for this job. They both make is so real and believable that you get a feeling like the book is happening right before your eyes. Like you are the fly on the wall observing it all. 10 stars to them both on a job well well done. They sure give Penelope’s books justice. I can’t wait to dig into the next book and lose myself in great stories with great narration.
