Lance Romero is a tough guy with a player reputation following him everywhere he goes. He doesn’t seems to care about anyone else but himself and hardly even that. He lives his life without ever thinking about consequences. We all have a clear picture of who Lance “Number 21” is or do we?!?
This heroine is the opposite from all the bunnies chasing Lance’s tail and she wants something from him that not even himself is aware that he possess and can give. She is not fouled by his image and not falling for his games like everyone else. She knows him for the man he truly is and not this pretense he goes by.
Past is about to collide with the present and how will that effect the future? You will have to read and find out!!!!
Uhhhh this is though guys…I don’t even know where to start! It is no secret that I simply adore everything Helena has written so far and that I am one of her biggest Pucked Fans on the planet. And Alex Waters has been my favorite through this whole ride and even if I love the other guys no one has been able to push him off the top….
Until now….
I always felt drawn to Lance and something about him just kept me craving for more. But I never could have imagined that I would LOVE HIM this much!!!! It’s been days since I finished this perfection of a book and I still can’t properly move on. I keep re playing the whole book in my head and going back to my favorite moments with Lance and his lady and a smile automatically lights up on my face. I thought it was Outlander that made me fall in love with that Scottish accent and yes now Lance confirmed it even more and I will always think of him every time I read or hear Aye or Jer 🙂
Lance did not disappoint at all….I am so happy with how his character grew and all that we learned about him in this book. His demons are hunting him everywhere all the time and he puts all the blame on himself when in reality he was a victim too. He still suffers and there is no one who can ease the pain that is present constantly. Not even the one person who should have stood by his side and offered solace and protection but was instead the opposite of those things. That broke my heart into a billion pieces!!! *crying my soul out*
But thankfully Lance’s other half found her way back into his life and was the sunshine that his darkness needed. She is one of my absolute favorite heroines in a book if not THE ONE! I want her to be real so I can hug the shit out of her for being that amazing and understanding woman that Lance needed and wanted. The sweetest, cutest, kindest book girlfriend ever written for me. I loved her for so many reasons and she is God sent gift to heal a broken man and make him leave the past behind him and live in the present and look forward to the light future that is awaiting.
Pucked Off is Helena Hunting’s best work so far!
She really out did herself with this book and just when I thought she couldn’t possibly write a better book than the previous one she gives us THIS! I loved, loved, loved this story so much I can’t even describe it with all the words of this world. Lance has stolen my heart from Alex and he is keeping it. And this is my favorite book from Helena and I love her so much more for this that touched me deeply and I just can’t to listen to this on audio because I am positive it will be rocking my world all over again and again.
But I wouldn’t put this in the comedy section with the rest of the Pucked series because I didn’t feel so much comedy in it like in the previous installments. But it is romance and first/second chances AT ITS BEST!!!!
Well done Helena! Celebration is in order! I am recommending this book to just about EVERYONE, I am sure you will love it as much as I did.
This song from the TV show Nashville is perfect team song for this book for me. Every word is like written for my dear Lance and I dedicate this song to him.
