After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him.
Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.
But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.
With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone.
He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.

Book Review: 5 “Austin Aces” stars!!
Ladies, it is a fact; the torture is OVER. Finally, the time has come to get our hands on the most expected book sequel of all times and learn how Easton and Scout’s story continues.
And there she goes again. Stealing my thoughts when I believed it was only myheart she’d stolen.
The Catch is the second part of The Player Duet series’s story. After that unbelievable cliffhanger in the first book which left us hanging from a threat and played with our minds, now it’s time for every question to be answered and every theory to come true; or not. And the end result is mightly rewarding, I tell you.
One scene after the other was more intense and more powerful than its previous. Especially when it came to the scenes between Easton and Scout, the deep love they share was overflowing the pages and my heart. I may fell in love with them in the first book, but now my love for this beautiful couple reached a much deeperr undescripable level. This time, they showed what true love looks like. Sometimes they may move a bit fast considering the time they know each other, but as they say “when you know, you know.” Both Scout and Easton never gave up fighting for each other and their future together. What more beautiful and more heart-captivating than this, huh?
What. Would. You. Do. Scout?
The answer Easton?
I’d sacrifice me to save you.
Right after The Player‘s release, a spoiler group was created on Facebook where whoever has read it could join and expressing her/is thoughts about it. Somewhere in there, some theories were expressed concerning the HUGE HUGE questions the cliffhanger left in the end. One theory after the other was created which only made the waiting that much harder since some specific ones were so crazy good that, during the time until The Catch‘s release, was taunting me. And I saw these theories getiing proved, the only word that got out of my mouth was a loud DAMN!!!!. Pure Bromberg geniusness right there, I’m telling you.
Day to my night. Light to my dark. Fucked to my fucked up.
What I didn’t expect to happen to me was to tear up. Yes, indeed. My eyes got all teary after reading a converstaion between Scout and her father. With every word they were saying to each other, I was getting more and more emotional. Their relationship, in the first book, may not seem so good and a typical father-daughter one, but that first impression couldn’t fool me more. Scout, except her journey of love with Easton, takes a very tough journey with her father. I could actually feel her pain when it came to his health condition and I couldn’t prevent my heart from breaking for her. And if you see it from a different prespective, Doc Dalton was the furthest thing from cold and that his uncoditional love for his Scouty made him do some things which, might seem harsh, but he did them to protect her and maker her stronger so she can find true self and can fight for what she wants; just like any parent wants for their child.
The Player may be a hot book, but The Catch has undoubtedly all the feels. There isn’t a scene in that book which isn’t emotionally charged. Two different dimensions of the same galaxy. As for the epilogue, there couldn’t be a more perfect one. I was grinning like a 5-year-old when I reached it and I was crying happy tears – and grinning – when I finished it. The words aren’t enough for this spellbounding love which, once it gets you in its nets, you can’t and don’t want to leave.
This game can be rewarding. I know that better than most. But it has nothing on having a family.
No one of Bromberg’s readers/fans can deny that this woman is a mastermind. When her stories roar, you just hear. You are looking for a love story like no other? Start a Bromberg. You only need one to get sucked into her writing world. 😉 I hope to see this Austin Aces family again in the future.
He kisses me as I’m the only person in the world.
He kisses me with a clear mind and a full heart.
