A standalone erotic fantasy novel from the Original Sinners collection...
Never make a promise you don’t intend to keep…
Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise, that she would do anything it took to save her mother’s gallery, The Red. The gallery is well-named for not only is it painted red but it’s in the red, and there's no way to bring it back into the black again without selling it.
The night Mona realizes she has no choice but to sell, a mysterious man comes into her gallery after closing time and makes Mona an offer she cannot refuse. He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him sexually for the period of one year. The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting. But surely her mother didn’t mean for Mona to sell herself to a strange man.
Then again, Mona did promise to do anything...
[This standalone novel is a work of erotica fantasy fiction and is intended for a mature audience only. It includes some BDSM content and dubious consent.]

Book Review: 5 stars
“The Red” was literally a fantastic read. With Reisz’ trademark witty writing and very extraordinary characters, the book had it all.
As for the erotic side – holy hell. When I first read the blurb, I couldn’t imagine an erotic fantasy working like this. But I learned my lesson: Never underestimate Tiffany Reisz. And even though fantasy is not my normal genre, I enjoyed the dip into this foreign pond immensely.
I won’t tell anything about the plot itself in my review, every word could spoiler too much of the amazing storyline. This is simply one of those books you have to experience for yourself. There is no way a review of mine could do this fantastic story any justice anyway.
The only teeny-tiny, small issue I had with “The Red” was the ending. Yes, there was a happy ending. But everyone who has read Tiffany Reisz before (and if not, WHY NOT? LOL) knows, that she is not your typical ‘roses, butterflies and white dresses kind of ending’ author. Her happy endings are rather unconventional and this was not different in “The Red”. I was kinda happy with how everything worked out. But only kinda. BUT this is a very personal complaint, so don’t let me deter your from reading this masterpiece.
So, long story short – 5 fantastic stars from me and a definite recommendation!!!
You neither have to be into fantasy (I’m probably the best example) nor have you have to like erotica too much, this is the perfectly balanced getaway from your everyday-life for a couple of hours.
Oh, and you better have Google (or your preferred search engine) at the up and ready, because there is a lot of artsy stuff in this book and if you’re not into arts aside from the most famous paintings by Dalí, Monet, Picasso etc. like I am, then you have to seek help. Maybe it would have been nice to have a picture of the mentioned paintings in the book but I imagine that could have been complicated with the copyrights etc. But ultimately, I used Google a lot and it helped me understand the scenes Tiffany Reisz vividly described even better.
A beautiful, fantastical, highly erotic story!
