know more about you than you
know yourself.”
“Oh my God! How do you put up with
that?”
“Through gritted teeth. Get used to it
----
baby.” Katie frowned. “I’m sorry, but what
can I do?”
Nothing, I’m not worried about me but
can we protect Rhiannon from it?”
“I can make sure they never print a
photo of her but that is it.”
“Do it. Tomorrow.”
“I’ll make the calls as soon as we get
in.”
“Thank you.” They drove to his
apartment in silence then Andreus carried her
bag to his bedroom. “Katie are you ok?” He
asked pulling her into his arms.
“Yeah, I’m fine I just never prepared
myself for being in the public eye, To me your
just Andreus not the rich architect in all the
papers.”
“You’ve certainly changed! Up until
recently you thought my being successful was
too good for you.”
“But I’ve got to know the real you
now.”
“I’m glad sweetheart. Why don’t you
go and have a nice relaxing bath whilst I ring
my solicitor and get protection for Rhiannon.
I’ll be in the study.”
“Ok, thanks Andreus.” She reached up
to kiss him before walking into the en-suite
bathroom. Katie ran the bath then sunk into
the hot bubbles and laid her head back with a
----
sigh. She was hoping that Andreus could get
protection for her little girl, she hated the
thought of Rhiannon’s face in all the
newspapers, she’d be open to abductors
demanding a high ransom with the knowledge
of Andreus’ wealth. Katie was dreading
something else too, Rhiannon’s father didn’t
even know of her existence, what if Kieran
saw the photo and put two and two together
then demand custody of her. The thought of
losing her precious daughter bought Katie to
tears. Rhiannon was her whole life.
“Katie got out of the bath and dressed
in white linen trousers and a black vest top,
quickly blow dried her hair and applied a little
make-up before walking to Andreus’ study.
He was still on the phone talking rapidly in
Greek and frowning, he looked up and saw
her walking over, he smiled and winked.
Katie walked over to the desk and perched on
the edge next to the papers he was scribbling
on.
Andreus hung up and turned to Katie.
“You look beautiful, are you feeling a little
more fresh and relaxed?”
“Refreshed yes, relaxed no. What did
your solicitor say?”
“It’s being taken care of as we speak.”
“So why was you frowning when I
----
walked in?”
“That was Nik, there is a problem with
a client, it was nothing to do with Rhiannon.”
“Good. Thank you. So how is Nik, Mel
and Sophia?”
“Fine. Mel wants to know if you want
to go shopping with her tomorrow. I was
hoping to take you on the yacht around the
islands for the week, but I’m needed in the
office for a few hours tomorrow, so we can
leave the following day.”
“Ok, I’d love to spend the day with
Mel. What time?”
“You two can discuss that this evening,
they are coming over for dinner in an hour.”
He lent forward and kissed her. “I love you.”
“I love you too. So what is for dinner?”
“I don’t have a clue, Olympus is
cooking?”
“Olympus?”
“The new housekeeper.”
“Oh! Is she good?”
“Excellent, come on.” They walked
through the lounge and onto the balcony.
“I have to pinch myself every time I
come to Greece, to make sure I’m not
dreaming.” Katie sighed as she walked over to
the railings and looked out to the sea view.
“It’s so peaceful and beautiful.”
“Hmm.” He wrapped his arms around
----
her waist and pulled her close, kissing her
neck. “I’ve hated being apart for so long.” He
mumbled. “I wish I could pass some of the
travelling onto Nik but that wouldn’t be fair
when they’ve got such a young family.”
“I know, I understand, but what
happens when you get married and have
babies?”
“We’ll have to split it again.” The
doorbell rang and they heard Olympus walk
through the apartment.
