Nikos and Melissa
walked out onto the balcony, Melissa ran over
and pulled Katie into a hug.
“Oh God! I’ve missed you!” Melissa
said.
    “I’ve missed you too.”
    “How is my little Rhiannon?”
“Not so little and big trouble.” Katie
laughed. “Where is Sophia?”
“With the nanny. I never leave her that
often only for dinner and things.”
“So is she coming shopping with us
tomorrow?”
“Of course.” Melissa smiled. Nikos and
Andreus were deep in conversation. “Men and
business.” She rolled her eyes.
“Is there a problem at the office?”
“The New York project keeps coming
up with problems. Nik says that the chances
----
are one of them will have to go over there and
oversee it until it is finished.”
    “Andreus.”
“They’ll probably split it. It’s probably
easier for Nik to go it is his design.”
“What about you and Sophia? He wont
want to leave you two for God knows how
long.”
“And I suppose Andreus would love to
not see you and Rhiannon.”
“That’s different, we’re not married and
Rhiannon isn’t his child.”
“So what! He’s in love with you and he
adores Rhiannon.”
“They went into the dining room and
sat down as Olympas walked in with a big
bowl of soup, Katie looked surprised, she was
very young and beautiful with long dark shiny
hair, huge chocolate coloured eyes and a
stunning olive complexion. She looked at
Andreus and with one eye brow raised, he
frowned.
Melissa looked at Nikos who shook his
head. “What’s going on?” Andreus asked.
“Why is everyone silent all of a sudden?”
    “She’s pretty.” Katie smiled.
    “Who?”
    “Olympus.”
“So…!There are no rules to say
housekeepers have to be old is there?”
----
“Of course not.” Katie mumbled as she
started to eat her soup. Nikos and Andreus
started speaking Greek again.
“Are you ok honey?” Melissa asked
quietly.
“Sure.” She looked at her watch.
“Sorry, is it ok if I call Rhiannon before she
goes to bed?”
    “Of course!” Andreus frowned, he
watched her leave the room. “What’s wrong
with Kate?”
“Nothing! She just wants to speak to
her daughter.” Melissa said.
    “That’s not what I meant. She’s gone
quiet and acting like she’s a guest.”
“Maybe that is how she feels.”
“I’ve told her this is her home.”
    “She’s…”
    “What?”
“I don’t think she likes the idea of
Olympus being here with you.”
“Mel, what are you getting at?”
“God you’re dumb!” Nikos rolled his
eyes. “Olympus is a beautiful girl and you
live here alone with her.”
    “She’s my housekeeper!”
“It’s not unheard of for the staff to have
affairs with…”
    “Excuse me!” Andreus shouted. “Who
----
the hell do you think you are accusing me…”
“I’m not!” Nikos laughed. “But Kate
might be a bit worried.”
“I’ll be back in a minute.” Andreus
stood up and walked through to his study
where Katie was sitting on his desk with the
phone to her ear saying goodnight to
Rhiannon. He closed the door silently and
leaned against it. Katie hung up, jumped off
the desk and turned, she jumped when she
saw him.
“I’m sorry, I was just coming.”
“It’s fine. What’s wrong with you?”
    “Pardon!” She looked taken aback.
“Do you have a problem with my
choice of staff?”
    “No…”
    “Don’t lie to me Kate.”
“Fine, I don’t like the idea of you two
living here together alone. Happy now?”
“Am I happy that my girlfriend doesn’t
trust me? No not really Kate. I love you and I
do not cheat how many times do I have to
repeat that. You need to learn to trust me or
this isn’t going to work.”
“It’s not going to work anyway is it?”
“What the hell does that mean?”
“How long will you be in New York?”
    “That isn’t a definite.”
“But likely.” he pulled her into his arms
----
and kissed the top of her head. “When will
you
